so.. let's see, still no date.
So, faith, if you go, then when the OFFICIAL date IS announced (if it ever is), you're trip won't have as much meaning as it could if it were with everybody together on the official date (if they get one).
My point is if we have all these rallies for freedom, April 15th, say 20,000 show up, it'll mean nothing and your efforts WILL be in complete and total vain. I CAN'T STRESS THIS ENOUGH!!!!But if we could just get a damn date... GRRR... this is beyond stupid anymore.... then we could ALL go TOGETHER to march on washington. As it is now, even my support of this has gone downhill. I've made necessary adjustments so I could be off for the week of June 21st so I could attend the march then. If this thing tanks again, I don't know what I'm gonna do.
For most people attending, they can't afford but one trip. Sorry to make ya angry, but we need to be TOGETHER on this thing, not scattered out.
can we get an update on permits? did anyone talk to parks & recreation this week?
You only need a permit if someone is organizing it. Why can't we all just GO ?
I'm not saying break the law, I'm saying that if everyone just "does their part" without any organizers, then the law does not apply.
Say we all just show up on June 21st and gather around the Washington Monument. About 25,000 of us show up. Then what? What speakers would be lined up and what stage would they use? What about porta potties, and trash cans? What do we do once we're there, just mill around with signs? Have you ever been to D.C.? It's not like you can just walk over to a restaurant or gas station and ask to use their facilities. If it isn't organized, it will be utter chaos, and if we DO organize it, we'll be scattered to the winds and/or arrested. And what about the groups who already paid for permits for that day? We would be infringing on their time and venue, and no matter where we moved to, the Mall, the Capitol, the Whitehouse, Lincoln Memorial, etc. The D.C. park police will come after us.
Plus, we intend to get Dr. Paul and other Congressmen to speak at the march. He would never attend something that didn't follow existing laws.
Whatever they are talented to do. A port-o-john company brings port-o-johns. Concessionists bring their trucks. Musicians choose to set up shop and play. Do it all from the grassroots. Most everyone of us knows thin kinds of things that are needed. so we recruit people for the march who have those kinds of things. Some of them will want to help. The message is, if you see something that needs done, just do it. If we do it from the grassroots, it'll be better anyway.
"Does their part" as in what?
