Joe Miller’s return gives GOP establishment heartburn

Article says he met with Rand Paul. That's good news, hopefully Rand backs him if Miller runs.

Joe Miller frequently has Rand Paul stuff on his website. Rand endorsed Cruz (who is identical to Miller)

Miller is waaay better than Cruz. When he visited Kentucky to support Moffett, he praised Judge-Exec Thomas Massie (beginning of vid,) then blasted the neocons in the Republican party for helping push us headlong into internationalism (starting at 9:30.) I don't know if I've even heard our liberty candidates speak so directly like that. Sounds like he's got a decent idea on monetary policy too. He also seemed to be pretty sincere about his beliefs, not just pandering. Check it out!

While Miller is a true believer (unlike Cruz), I do not think their stated views are any different and still fall more in the Lee-DeMint (with Lee being slightly more conservative) spectrum and not the Taft-Goldwater-Paul(Rand) spectrum.

Miller has apparently kept the faith, which is more than we can say for our dear Rand. I am interested to see if Miller would endorse legalizing marijuana in Alaska, which would immediately make him closer to us than Rand or Lee.

I just fear Miller is damaged goods in Alaska. Such a shame that bitch Murkowski was a sore loser...

Yeah, I really like Miller but I very much doubt he can win at this point; even if the polls are wrong there's a big chance that whoever he beats in the primary will pull a Murkowski.

Goldwater would probably also be a Lee-DeMint type if he was still around (except on social issues). He was a foreign policy hawk, but opposed nation-building and foreign bases. Taft is probably the closest to Rand Paul. Pro-Israel non-interventionist.

You're probably right.

There needs to be a pressure campaign put on the RNC and specifically Preibus to get a handle on the AKGOP. Not only are they (AK insiders) F-ing with incoming party leadership, they had embezzled GOP money into Murky's campaign accounts. If round 2 of sabotaging seems about to happen, we need to expose this in a viral manner and use the pressure campaign to slam the RNCs phone lines as well as their email accounts. Miller, however, was friendly with the likes of Levin and if he still is he should get back on the program, assuming that he runs, and put this out in the open to hedge any bs later on. If Levin were to call for one of his surges, that could aid us in a massive pressure campaign.

Unfortunately, Priebus doesn't actually listen to us. Sure, he reads the Daily Paul, but they hate people like Miller over there.

Rand will need to step up and protect his picks from sabotage in the general. Priebus going along w/ the AK Senate nominee being backstabbed by his own state party officials should be a big deal and should have to answer for it.

Super PACs and candidate end runs around hostile GOP groups. Mitt Romney showed us the playbook there.

They're not allowed to get their messaging directly from the candidate, but it's easy enough to read what messages the candidate is focusing on via the media. The candidate can raise money for them. It's a way around the stranglehold the parties have on the cash.

I honestly think our best bet is trying to get Sean Parnell to run. The problem is the toughest opponent will be Begich, unlike in 2010 when it was another (fake) Republican.

It would take a very good campaign to win. I saw a poll recently and his favorability numbers are awful.
35/46 among republicans :(

Didn't the Alaska native districts, where the majority of the population is illiterate, record like 99% turnout and 95% of the vote for Murkowski?
