Joe Miller’s return gives GOP establishment heartburn

Apparently his personal image/decision making really tanked his reputation. Had he not engaged in that behavior toward the end of the campaign he'd probably be in DC right now. I'm just baffled it looks like Begich could win. We desperately need that seat.
 
Can we find a more electable liberty candidate to run for Senate in Alaska? Joe Miller is really unpopular down there for some reason.

And Rand's at 18% among independents and only 7% among Republicans. Hopefully most of the states will allow independents to vote in 2016.

Miller is better than Cruz. Cruz might be a 3 or 3.5 star liberty candidate. Miller will be a 5 star liberty candidate. He might even be better than Mike Lee, who is clearly the second best Senator we have.
 
I think there's a lot of pissed off people in Alaska so that could light a fire under the activists up there and make them support Miller even more. You have to remember that 99% of Paul supporters were tuned into Rand's race and not Miller's so that's where most of our powder was spent. Now that Rand is a high-profile Senator he could help Miller and so could the grassroots. It won't be easy, but it is doable.
 
I know a couple lefties up in Alaska and they all hate Joe Miller, say the state would die if they didn't bring home the bacon from Washington

it's going to be an uphill battle

To make my point more clearly - if Miller is elected, it will be Paul/Lee/Miller/Cruz/Moran/etc in terms of conservatives.

Shows how retarded many of them are, they could be totally self-sufficient with their fisheries and oil. Also, thinking that the pig hasn't been picked clean years ago shows how out of touch they are.

Johnson (WI) and Flake are pretty good too. Toomey and Coburn are also quite conservative, but sometimes vote the wrong way.
 
Alaska is a faux-conservative pork state. Don Young, Murkowski, Ted Stevens, even Begich now, all just worried about bringing home the bacon.

Yes, Flake is good but I only consider him a 2-star compared to Toomey.

Toomey is easily my favorite "moderate" in Washington.

Yeah, it's clear to me that Alaska isn't conservative at all when a real conservative like Miller has a 20% positive rating there.
