Joe Kent for Congress (WA-3)

It just keeps getting better...

Joe Kent, candidate for Washington’s 3rd Congressional district, has had his own ballot rejected by the state, The National Pulse can exclusively reveal.

Kent, who is endorsed by President Trump, submitted his ballot to the county auditor’s office himself, on August 2nd 2022. It was originally sent to him on July 17th.

The National Pulse has obtained an image of the notification of Kent’s rejected ballot:

Kent told The National Pulse that he had to go into the offices of the election administrators on Monday, August 8th, in order to verify his own signature – a process that many older voters may be unable to attend to so easily – so that his vote would count.

“It’s a mess of a system,” Kent told The National Pulse.

The primary election in WA-3 is curious enough by itself, using a non-partisan, top-two system, “in which all candidates appear on the same ballot, for congressional and state-level elections. The top two vote-getters move on to the general election, regardless of their party affiliation.”

But Kent’s primary appears to have had especially strange problems, with the count still not concluded almost a week since election day. At the time of writing, around 81 percent of ballots (183,000) have been counted. Another twenty-odd thousand remain.

Just to note, they did count his vote after he had to go into the county auditor’s office, which many rejected voters would not do.

Joe Kent Defeats Trump Impeachment Voter Jaime Herrera Beutler in WA-3
Herrera Beutler will become the seventh of 10 pro-impeachment Republicans to leave office this cycle

The irony here is that voting to impeach Trump is one thing, like it or not, but really that vote was a key indicator of RINOs and neocons. That doesn't mean that some RINOs and neocons weren’t smart enough not to out themselves like that, but any GOP member that voted for it was announcing their true allegiance.

Representative Thomas Massie Endorses Joe Kent

US Representative Thomas Massie issued the following statement today:

“I’m endorsing Joe Kent for Congress because we need reinforcements in the fight against establishment politicians in D.C.

Joe will fight alongside me to halt the endless wars, stand up to tyrants like Anthony Fauci, and put America First by securing our border.

I urge the people of Washington’s 3rd Congressional District to join me in supporting Joe Kent.”

Joe Kent made the following statement:

“Thomas Massie and I share the same devotion to our country, our Constitution, and our individual liberty, and I look forward to serving with him in the next Congress as we stand against the Biden Administration’s radical and foolish agenda.”

Senator Rand Paul Endorses Joe Kent

US Senator Rand Paul released the following statement today:

“I’ve stood strong against the Covid madness from Dr. Fauci, but I need help in DC. That’s why I’m giving my full and total endorsement to Joe Kent for Congress.

I know Joe Kent will join me in demanding that Fauci is held accountable for lying to Congress. He will fight for liberty and the Constitution with courage. Joe isn’t afraid to speak out against the endless wars, and I know he has the courage to stand with me to defeat the Washington machine.”

Joe Kent made the following statement:

“There is no greater fighter for liberty in Washington DC than Rand Paul, and I’m honored to have earned his endorsement.

American families have suffered over these last two years under Democrats unchecked control of our government with zero oversight. I look forward to joining Senator Paul in Washington DC to put an end to one-party rule so we can hold the Biden Administration accountable on everything from the economy to inflation to the botched COVID response.

Senator Paul and I will stand shoulder-to-shoulder for the American people.”

Lessers of evil is still evil. Need I say on this forum what issues in the OP bother me?

Guys like that sound good, but he has no clue how to put the pieces of the puzzle together. He's a statist.

Yeah, we get it. You don't vote, you don't want anybody else to vote. Among other things, this forum has been dedicated to finding the best candidates to support. You don't have to vote for them or support them.

Massie and Rand have both endorsed him. That is no guarantee, but we will see how Kent votes if he gets elected.

No worries, I won't.

Rand and Massie are among the best that we have, but their endorsements do nothing for me.

According to the Mission Statement, this site was supposed to support "principles of freedom", not endorsements of NATO, Federal Law Enforcement and opposing trade among other countries and Russia.

Edit: Least of all some I'm not allowed to say it Wall on the tax payer dime which Ron Paul himself opposes.

- Our nation must retain a modern and highly skilled military, poised to strike and deter our enemies around the world at a moment’s notice. I support modernizing our force to focus on our main threat, China.

- I fully support the men and women of our law enforcement community. I will fight any efforts to defund the police. I will fight to use the tools of federal law enforcement to dismantle the Antifa terrorist organization.

- Chinese Communist Party (CCP) is our number one national security threat and is already at war with us.

- We must strengthen our NATO alliance and ensure that NATO shoulders its share of the security burden and does not support Russia by purchasing Russian oil and gas.

Even if the continuing vote counts push Kent into first place, the close results are unexpected for a seat that was viewed as safely Republican heading into this week. Herrera Beutler received 53% of the district’s vote or higher in the last six general elections. The redistricting process kept the district with a Republican-leaning majority.

Not unexpected. We saw this time and again since 2008. If a liberty oriented or “tea party” candidate unexpectedly defeated an establishment GOP incumbent in the primary, the GOP establishment, usually led by Karl Rove, would gladly throw the race to a Democrat, both as revenge, and due to the fact that Democrats are more aligned with neoconservatives and the GOP establishment.
