I agree almost completely except for the part about ABC being private. It's not because he told a joke. It's not even because he's an Establishment mouthpiece. It's because the Establishment itself is scared. That is what is celebratory in Kimmel's firing.
And yes, his objectively false screed about the Charlie Kirk murder was not only unfunny, it was downright disgusting. Employment is an at-will relationship, so his employer had every right to separate him not only for failing to do his job but for being morally repulsive. The 1A protects citizens from government censorship (direct or indirect), it does not compel private media companies to keep employing someone spewing verbal vomit all over the TV screen...

If you believe that, I've got ocean-front property in Arizona I'll sell you for some USAID money.
The left is in a full hysterical meltdown about "freedom of speech" tonight.
I'm still not convinced that this money isn't still flowing, just through other program headings.Nice of him to give them an excuse to cancel his contract. Obviously they haven't found a substitute for the USAID money.
I have said it in a couple of places. Kimmel is the worst because you know both from him in an earlier life and from friends like Adam Corolla that he doesn't actually believe any of it. He basically sold his soul to the devil and became a globalist mouthpiece. A retarded devout commie like Col-berT at least believes in the diarrhea coming out of his mouth hole.Kimmel was arguably the WORST regime mouthpiece over the last several years, truly.
He was a slimy little weasel who usually took the hardest political stances against all things non-left. Good riddance!
Well, yeah. I meant though that if more people acknowledged that the government was filtering the script for these shows then they probably wouldn't be crying so hard over Colbert and Kimmel being cut. Sleep with dogs, get fleas. It's not about whether they're truly private or not -- of course they are a controlled-mouthpiece but we're all told that they are a private company --- you don't get to treat this as a 1A violation just because the CIA actually runs the MSM! That's the point.

I'm counting on it.This is an abuse of power by the FCC and eventually it will bite conservatives in the arse.
I'm counting on it.
It does the job of furthering the ideological divide, so that some day soon there can be a physical separation.
Ok, but the problem with that is that the right was winning the free speech battle. It was a HUGE benefit to them in the last election. Now???
