I doubt they'd even crack 0.0001% in polling. Maybe they'd be allowed in debates if they only polled people in psychiatric wards.
Wow, nice 2007 Ron Paul Fox News talking point!

The difference between Ron Paul and Jesse Ventura, aside from the Riff Raff hairdo, is that Ron Paul is ridiculously intelligent, decent, and versed in the Constitution, government, economics, and philosophy. Ventura is an idiot who used to wear a pink boa and strut around in tights.
Ventura is a joke. He will NOT run for president. Ever.
Actors. All of them...
I would actually say the opposite. People who work for the establishment are 'actors', people who work against it are working for individuals.
Jesse Ventura spends most of his time down in Mexico surfing and playing horse shoes and shit. He has no desire to control people. He's not an actor.
Ventura is well versed in foreign policy, how the intelligence community operates and how corporate special interests work. That's an excellent start and what I would first look for in a candidate to support before anything else.
My first requirement is "Sane." My second requirement is "not a moron."
Jesse fails to meet either.
Jesse is all about Jesse, he's got some unique positions on things and doesn't play politics, but in the end he is all about himself. I definitely hope he runs, however. It will shake things up and get people talking about important issues again. I highly doubt Stern will accept his offer as VP for real. A Ventura presidency would not exactly be a libertarian dream, but it would be better than any of the establishment candidates, including Mr. "I support Mitt Romney" Rand.
The bottom line is the presidency IS a joke. Just look at the last few presidents. All are disasters, none kept promises, and we are all worse off for it. At least with a Venutra-type candidate, it opens up the doors for more discussion and a breakdown of the failed two-party system.
This comment might pass as substance at the Daily Paul, but we're a little wiser over here. Ventura doesn't have the slightest clue about economic or liberty matters. He's on record for supporting complete government run socialized medicine. He's actually to the left on Obamacare. You're mistaken, Rand is isn't establishment. Get a clue here http://www.youtube.com/user/SenatorRandPaul
Did you miss Rand's Senate campaign in 2010? Rand always said he would support the GOP nominee. Listen to Jack Hunter, his prediction of Obama winning and Rand being the front runner for the 2016 nomination is beginning to pan out. The game is chess, not checkers.Thanks. Rand supported Romney. There's no sugar coating that move. Romney would have given us Romneycare, war, and a complete disaster just like Obama has. No excuses. I'm not a Ventura fan, just saying he would shake things up if he ran, and that can't be a bad thing.
I stopped liking Ventura after he came out against Citizens United. He has a lot of good positions, like gun rights and drugs, but he has an equal number of awful positions, like abortion, public school, and health care. This ticket seems like it should be coming from The Onion. If you want to be taken seriously, don't select Howard Stern as your running mate.
