Jesse Ventura for VP

hmm, I had been trying to think of good running mates

I'd worry about Ventura a little but might be what we need....

He's a former seal, he did win Minnesota as a Governor.. But, he's living in Mexico right now last I heard.

Not VP... a spokesman or endorsement, yes, but not VP. He could be to Ron Paul as Chuck Norris is to Huck, I'd be all for that. A Ventura vs. Chuck Norris cage match would be awesome.

Ventura has the biggest ego I've ever seen in a man, and it gets him in trouble. He's said he's not interested in going back into politics anyway. I think he's still enjoying his retirement in Baja, Mexico.

I think his endorsement could work well. I'm not sure if an endorsement would hurt Ron as bad as Chuck Norris is like Huckabee.

Ventura has been on my mind ever since he was doing commentary on MSNBC at the dawn of the Iraq war, I haven't heard anything from him since (but then again I haven't looked very hard). Anyway he seemed like a genuine straight shooting kinda guy I could get behind, with his history as an entertainer, he could be the kinda loud mouth guy we need to get people to listen. Like Penn is to Teller.

I was in highschool when Ventura ran to be our Governor. My Government teacher was extremely frustrated and disappointed that he won.

Ummm....he could be in trouble over his book for spilling the beans that once he became governor he met up with over a dozen CIA agents and found out that many of them were working within local and state government....I wouldn't want to drag that into Ron's court.

sounds like another reason to trust him to me

Yea, I like Navy Seals that are pissed and spill beans on corrupt agencies that are not good for the Republic.

This Republic is in danger and fighting for its survival. We need men like Mr Ventura.

I have thought for some time that he would have been a good 3rd party or independent candidate. He would be much harder to ignore than your typical independent. Interesting thread.

I think we might be able to get him to give an endorsement, I dunno thought he considers Dems/Reps to be cut of the same cloth. I enjoyed the interview and agree with everything he said. I just don't know to be honest if he'll give an endorsement or not.

pundit: "If someone doesn't enlist that doesn't make them a chicken, there's a difference between someone who is drafted and someone who doesn't enlist..."

Ventura: "No there's not. If someone doesn't serve their country but they come back 20-25 years later, and they want everyone to support a war, they're a chicken hawk."

I paraphrased of course, but that was awesome.

Imagine a 3 way vp general election debate. Ventura would be huge.
