Jesse Benton on David Adams

“David Adams? The guy we fired? He’s just so incompetent,” Benton said. “He’s trying to stir some rumor mill” about a serious tea party challenger, Benton insisted.
“Rand can’t stand David [Adams],” Benton said.

This should settle the question once and for all about whether Rand likes David Adams. If he doesn't, won't he say this isn't true.

Rand did not call upon Mr. Benton when he was virtually unknown in Kentucky in 2009. Adams was an experienced GOP hand in Kentucky who was able to successfully introduce him to voters and engineer a 22 point primary victory against McConnell's pick. Adams laid some very important ground work for that victory so for Benton to disrespect him in this manner is disgraceful.

If that is the true then, I expect Rand to say these are not my feelings and Jesse Benton is out of line. This is what I don't understand about all the Benton hate. If he's really been so bad to the Paul's (i.e. Ron's campaign and now this Rand quote) then why haven't they said something. They are either willfully ignorant or then they are giving the okay for Jesse to do things.

If he was that qualified why didn't Rand hire him in 2009? Answer: Benton isnt' even from Kentucky and Rand needed someone like Adams to introduce him and help work around McConnell's machine who was trying to use his influence lets not forget to push Grayson. Because of David Adams a lot of GOP voters listened. Now Benton decides to trash him and call him incompetent after a 22 point primary victory. Unreal.

Why does Benton claim Adams is incompetent? He orchestrated a 22 point primary victory, the candidate raised plenty of money, did lots of events, got access to media and generated buzz. It was one of the best primary campaigns you'll ever see and Benton had nothing to do with it.
