Jesse Benton interview on MSNBC: 'We're hoarding cash' for Texas, California

It goes both ways though. The campaign does have to bare some of the blame as well. Ignoring/turning down media invites, does not help our cause.
If you are about expanding the voter base, but you ignore invites on the biggest "news" show...there's some serious issues somewhere.
I agree there should be more media interaction (the debate in Oregon makes me :( )
However what media matters, so does when. There are some programs which turning down interviews is actually a good thing because of the way they conduct their interviews and splice their footage and coverage both before and after. I've seen this type of poison spin from both Fox and CNN. At some point using the time of Paul and his surrogates on such coverage becomes a net loss. Not saying that's true of all the turned down invites, I don't have a list of them so I can't really assess something like ratio. But that old adage "any press is good press" really doesn't hold water and that's something to keep in mind as well.

The Gloria Borger interview was that point when the campaign stopped taking most spontaneous interviews because it became obvious that even a blackout wasn't enough for the media. A full hit job was then in effect. I still think the media shot their last bullet (newsletters) too early since it only galvanized the hardcore supporters into delegate participation.

Yeah that interview was sick, I did a comparison and they cut in excess of 25% of the total footage they had, in splices throughout the interview and then bracketed it with biased commentary that didn't even acknowledge interviews Paul had given on their own station. I'm not sure where the legal lines for defamation are but at the very least it crossed the practical ones. NOT refusing invites to be subjected to another hit piece would have been a serious failing on the part of the campaign.

Don't we just need a plurality and not a majority?
That's how I understand it.

Media narrative "you must have a majority of the straw poll in at least five states"

Reality (AFAIK) "a plurality of delegates from five states is called for"

Does anyone know the name of this idiot? That way I'll know to discount any articles he may write.
Ryan Lizza.

I wish Jesse would have told them how many delegates Ron actually has. He should be calling them out on how the delegate numbers that the mainstream are always wrong. He should really rub it in too with something like:

"Maybe you guys can hire some actually journalists that report accurate information instead of the talking heads that report nothing close to factual information."

Well there aren't really guaranteed delegate totals yet for almost any state. Even some of the "hard" delegates from various states might still possibly alter so it'd be hard for Jesse to call out any specific numbers (that kind of guess work is usually the purview of the MSM)

Haha, Benton for the smack down. The only flop going on there were the flop sweats from the reporter.

I am hyped that the Campaign has a plan to go all out for Texas and California at the end of the Primary Season.

The RP Grassroots should begin working on Money Bombs in April and early May for these Mega Delegate States.

These are the two Mother Lode States and if we do well, could deny Romney the 1144 delegates he needs for a first ballot nomination.

Can you say Brokered Convention.
