I agree there should be more media interaction (the debate in Oregon makes meIt goes both ways though. The campaign does have to bare some of the blame as well. Ignoring/turning down media invites, does not help our cause.
If you are about expanding the voter base, but you ignore invites on the biggest "news" show...there's some serious issues somewhere.

However what media matters, so does when. There are some programs which turning down interviews is actually a good thing because of the way they conduct their interviews and splice their footage and coverage both before and after. I've seen this type of poison spin from both Fox and CNN. At some point using the time of Paul and his surrogates on such coverage becomes a net loss. Not saying that's true of all the turned down invites, I don't have a list of them so I can't really assess something like ratio. But that old adage "any press is good press" really doesn't hold water and that's something to keep in mind as well.
