Australia formally recognizes West Jerusalem as Israel's capital, reversing decades of Middle East policy, but will not move its embassy there immediately, Prime Minister Scott Morrison said on Saturday."Australia now recognizes West Jerusalem, being the seat of the Knesset and many of the institutions of government, is the capital of Israel," Morrison said.
"We look forward to moving our embassy to West Jerusalem when practical," he told reporters in Sydney.


Morrison said Australia would not move its embassy to West Jerusalem until the city's final status was determined, but said trade and defense offices would be opened there.
He confirmed Australia's support for a two-state solution with a Palestinian capital in East Jerusalem.

Looks like the Indonesia and Malaysia pressure worked. Australia was going to recognize all of Jerusalem as the Israeli capital but now it's just West Jerusalem.

Brazil’s President Jair Bolsonaro has confirmed that the South American country will move its embassy to Jerusalem, following an earlier statement by Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, who was in Brazil this week to attend the new Brazilian leader’s swearing-in.
“The decision is taken,” Bolsonaro said late on Thursday in an interview on Brazil’s SBT television, as reported by AFP.
“It’s only a matter of when it will be implemented,” he said.

Hungary opened a new trade office in west Jerusalem on Tuesday, fulfilling a February pledge by Prime Minister Viktor Orban to Israel to do so in the disputed city.The opening stops short of moving Hungary's Israel embassy to Jerusalem as US President Donald Trump has done, breaking with decades of international consensus, but was still welcomed by Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.
Attending the ribbon-cutting in a city-centre office tower along with Hungarian Foreign Minister Peter Szijjarto, Netanyahu hailed the move.
"It's the first European diplomatic mission to open in Jerusalem in many decades," Netanyahu said.
He called it "important for trade, for diplomacy and for the move that Hungary is leading right now to change the attitude in Europe towards Jerusalem."
The Jerusalem office is to be a branch of the Hungarian embassy in Tel Aviv.


Lithuanian Prime Minister Saulius Skvernelis said Tuesday he would consider moving Lithuania's embassy in Israel to Jerusalem should he win May's presidential elections.
Senior politicians in fellow EU states Czech Republic and Romania have said they are also considered moving their embassies to Jerusalem but no decisions have been announced.

The leaders of Romania and Honduras on Sunday announced that they will recognize Jerusalem as Israel's capital, following the lead of President Donald Trump.Romanian Prime Minister Viorica Dancila and Honduran President Juan Orlando Hernandez delivered their announcements at the American Israel Public Affairs Committee's annual conference in Washington. The announcements were welcomed by Israeli politicians.
However, Romanian President Klaus Iohannis, a government rival who's in charge of the East European nation's foreign policy, said the prime minister hadn't consulted with him over the decision. He accused her of "total ignorance" of foreign policy.
The move is considered controversial as it goes against the rest of the European Union. Romania currently holds the bloc's rotating presidency.

Honduran President Juan Orlando Hernandez will travel to Israel on Friday to inaugurate a "diplomatic office" in Jerusalem, recognizing the holy city as Israel's capital.The diplomatic office in the disputed city will be an extension of Honduras' Tel Aviv-based embassy.
"For me it's the recognition that Jerusalem is the capital of Israel," Hernandez said on Tuesday.
The foreign ministry said in a statement Israel had proposed that Honduras move its embassy to Jerusalem, which is being "analyzed and evaluated in the international and national context."

Brazil opened a trade office in Jerusalem on Sunday, in a ceremony attended by President Jair Bolsonaro’s son and Israel’s Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.
Speaking at the ceremony, Eduardo Bolsonaro, a lawmaker, said his father intended to make good on a pledge he made early this year to move Brazil’s embassy in Israel from the city of Tel Aviv to Jerusalem.
“He told me that for sure - it’s a commitment - he’s going to move the embassy to Jerusalem, he’s going to do that,” the younger Bolsonaro said, in Netanyahu’s presence.
President Bolsonaro in January pledged to follow US President Donald Trump’s controversial step and relocate his country’s embassy from Tel Aviv.
The Brazilian head of state visited Israel in March, when he announced his country’s intention to open a trade office in the disputed city.
