Donald Trump likes to talk about how he puts America first. Last night, Trump’s presidential race running mate J.D. Vance made it clear that Vance has other priorities. In answer to the first question of the vice-presidential debate, Vance asserted that his allegiance is to Israel first. Indeed, he suggested that America does not even come in second.

Here is how Vance responded to debate moderator Margaret Brennan’s question of if Vance would “support or oppose a preemptive strike by Israel on Iran”:

"Now, you asked about a preemptive strike, Margaret, and I want to answer the question. Look, it is up to Israel what they think they need to do to keep their country safe, and we should support our allies wherever they are when they are fighting the bad guys. I think that’s the right approach to take with the Israel question."

Vance here supports the US acting as Israel’s devoted servant in support of whatever “fighting” Israel decides to pursue against Iran. According to Vance, the decision-making is all at the discretion of the Israel government. The US just tags along, providing unwavering support.

Note also the use of the plural “allies” by Vance. To how many other foreign governments is Vance supporting US servitude to advance their fights against “bad guys”? Is Vance for America third, twelfth, twenty-fifth? Who knows? What is his current list of allies that he puts before America?

Adam Dick ain't no Ron Paul..

That statement actually sounded eerily similar to what Ron Paul has said about Israel in the past. Which is that we should stop funding Israel, then it is up to them to do what they think they need to do to defend themselves.

The author here took a vague statement made by Vance about supporting our allies and did some mind-reading to conclude that he meant use all of our military might and send all of our soldiers to do whatever Israel wants us to do..

What part of "...we should support..." sounded like "...we should stop funding..." to you?

Lime sounds eerily similar to slime, too. Handy thing to know if you want a margarita and can't find any fresh citrus, right..?

TheCount linked to Vance's dossier from the Trump campaign on another thread.

I doubt you read the hundreds of pages, but let me quote this part for you, there is actually quite a bit in there on this topic:

VANCE APPEARS TO HAVE EMBRACED NON-INTERVENTIONISM

Vance Has Called For A More Non-Interventionist Foreign Policy

In 2019, Vance Called For The Conservative Movement To Push “A Foreign Policy That
Was Built Around Fiercely Securing And Defending America's National Interests, But Not
Sacrificing So Many Of The People That I Served With To Imperial Hubris.” “Now, I won't
sit up here and preach at you a conservative platform for the next 21st century. I will not tell you
precisely what that conservative politics looks like for two reasons. The first is that it's pretty
late, and I imagine you've had a fair amount to drink, and I don't want to keep you too long. But
the second is that we still need to figure out a lot of the details for how this vision of
conservative politics, a pro-family, pro-worker, pro-American nation, conservatism actually
looks in practice. There's a lot of work to be done. I think in broad strokes, there are a few things
that that conservatism will posses…It would build a foreign policy that was built around fiercely
securing and defending America's national interests, but not sacrificing so many of the people
that I served with to imperial hubris.” (JD Vance, Speech to National Conservatism Conference, 7/1/19)

...

VANCE HAS BEEN ONE OF THE CHIEF OBSTRUCTIONISTS TO U.S.
EFFORTS TO PROVIDING ASSISTANCE TO UKRAINE

If you can't find that to be highly preferable to our other options, I really don't know what to say.

What "other options" do we have again? Name the VP candidate besides Vance and Walz who hasn't been hounded off ballots nationwide. Walz isn't so obese that he counts as options all by himself.

Vance is an Israel First guy through and through. Ukraine may be of benefit to Burisma stockholders in Congress and the White House, but Israel still owns Washington -- including Vance.

Or he just supports Israel.

Nothing wrong with being a strong ally with Israel… but when you allow USS Liberty sinking & American servicemen killings to go uncheck, you get the gravely damaging position we currently face.

Any real American who cares about US first would tell Netanyahu & Orthodox stop the blind moral-less mass slaughters

The only true ally of Israel is the voice of reason and diplomacy which Israel ignores and has always ignored.
