It's today

Does Kokesh have a chance in this?

That is kind of why this race is exciting. No one knows. There have been no independent polls of this primary.

On one hand, Mullins crushed Kokesh at the convention and has views that are likely more in-line with people who vote in a closed GOP primary.

On the other hand, Kokesh has vastly outraised Mullins ($244,885 to $96,641) and Kokesh has grossly outspent Mullins too ($202,017 to $68,900 as of May 12th). Plus I would imagine Kokesh has more grassroots support and supporters who'd be more likely to turn up at the polls.

Nothing to do but wait and see.

How many people live in his district?

Go Kokesh!

All Congressional districts have about 650,000 people (depending on the state, of course. The smaller states have to round heavily). New Mexico's 3rd has 606,240 according to 2000 census.

Primary election turnout low so far; polls open until 7 p.m.

CD3 Congressional primary watch parties

GOP Candidate Adam Kokesh will be hosting an election watch party at Joe’s Diner, 2801 Rodeo Road in the Rodeo Road Shopping Plaza in Santa Fe. The event is FREE and will begin at 7 pm. Hors d’ oeuvres will be provided with a no-host bar, and live coverage of election results.
