Personally,, I would expect Romney to be even worse (if at all possible) and no change at all at best.

meh, the country is going to 'not be recognizable in 2016' if either Obama OR Romney win... so all in all, I think the article is pretty poor. get mad and vote for Romney, so we can have the same policies perpetuated?

people aren't showing enthusiasm for Romney not because they aren't upset with the way the country is going, it's because everyone can see that Romney is a lying, sleazebag politician who is just like Obama, and how can you hold your nose and be excited at the same time?

This shouldn’t be happening. We shouldn’t be losing.

No, it shouldn't.

You should have nominated the man who could have won, who could have energized youth and disillusioned voters by the millions.

You should have nominated the man who could have given the American people a real choice, for the first time in decades.

But, you didn't.

We told you what would happen if you went the "lazy route" as you put it.

And it is unfolding right before everybody's eyes.

I'm not mad, because I don't have a dog in this hunt, whatever damage is going to be done: loss of liberty, economic nightmares, wars and foreign policy boondoggles: all that and more will continued unabated, utterly without regard to which one of these ass-clowns is sitting in the Oval Office.

I have some personal reasons to want a Romney loss, and that is all that animates me in this race anymore.

If it wasn't for that, I couldn't possibly care less.

Problem with Romney is that I cannot trust him anymore. At this point, he has lost my vote. So there is literally nothing he can do to get it back.

It started when the general public got sick of the stimulus, the deficit spending and then the passing of Obamacare, the largest attack on our freedom in this country since its inception.

The deficit spending and the first stimulus can be laid at Bush's (R) feet. Also, I would disagree that Obamacare is the largest attack on our freedom since the beginning of this country. The WBTS (started by a Republican) holds that honor for me, but hey, that's just me and there's so much to choose from.

Overall, I agree that the GOP needs to re-invent itself. That's kind of why RP ran as a Republican. That we have Mitt Romney as the nominee shows that the GOP didn't learn anything since 2008.

Your article is good for those that are completely wrapped in the GOP bubble. It really doesn't have much currency here, IMO. The solution is not to defeat Obama at all costs. How would that constitute the Party re-inventing itself? It would only embolden the party insiders to keep doing what they're doing. After what they pulled in Tampa with the rules changes, that is the last thing we need.

Who do you believe is the majority in this country? Right center? I think you have your opinions too biased regarding Republican wins last time.I think the voting is being steered to anti-candidate rather than pro-party. When you offer vanilla and french vanilla ice cream some people respond with a who cares. IMO Romney being more overtly warring is more dangerous than Obama, but both lead to the same result. People are mad but they are mad at both parties, good luck persuading them to get mad for the establishment candidate of your choosing...

You think after 2008 and the rise of the tea party that the republican electorate will see a pattern from this. The tea party people stood up for fiscal conservative principles and won against mainstream republicans like McCain. But for reason they all missed the point and tried the same play again in 2012.

So please, lets not be surprised when we get the same result. Dont get mad about it, get even by re-teaching them the lesson one more time
