It's Official - We are on the PA ballot

NOTHING IS OFFICIAL YET.

We dont even know if we have enough signatures.

Too much paranoia in this forum. People scream bloody murder about every little thing. It's a huge turn-off.

The RP campaign hired petitioners who got enough signatures, but they were of questionable quality, so they turned to the delegate teams for signatures for Paul, whome they had previously told not to worry about it. The last minute rush was to switch gears and, as a cautionary measure, get some more signatures for Paul. The delegate teams likely doubled his signature count, and these signatures are of good quality, most of which will pass if challenged.

They say, as a rule, that 33% of signatures in a typical petition drive should be considered unreliable. Ergo, if you collect more than 3000, you are statistically unlikely to be challenged off. From what I've been seeing, we are well past that mark. Nobody panic.

The only thing I want to know is if the campaign has anyone reviewing and challenging the other candidates' signatures.

Titles Thread "Official"...posts unofficial results.

hehe j/k Good job, PA people!

Well, I see 2 of the delegates we collected signatures for here in CD1 on this list. There's a total of 7 people on this list trying to become delegates for CD1. ?

Yeah, I know most of us here in Pittsburgh were being very careful to verify that our people were registered GOP and we were looking them up on the Congressional District map if they weren't sure which one they belonged to.

There's a sitting US congressman running for delegate in my district and a bunch of party people, I think a state rep too. Oh well.

Just to be clear, the name I posted was of a person who had an address that did not fall in CD1, not of a known RP delegate.

I am asking how can a person from Perry County be running as a delegate in CD 1, (composed of parts of Delaware and Philadelphia Counties)? I do not know which candidate that person supports; the only thing I know is that based on his address it is very illogical to me that he is listed as on the ballot for CD1.

(Exercising a little reading comprehension before editing posts would be nice.)

Im not familiar with the counties down in the Philadelphia area. But redistricting has changed the look of many CD's, check this site out: http://www.redistricting.state.pa.us/Maps/Congressional.cfm

Probably just a typo. Their seems to by typos on every page of the document.

I'm one of two Ron Paul supporters on the ballot in PA's CD14 for Alternate Delegate. There's only the 2 of us on there, noone else is there, and voters can vote for three.
Since we're both AUTOMATICALLY going to the RNC as RON PAUL SUPPORTERS, I SAY YEAH BABY! I'm AUTOMATIC!

How can they hold two elected offices at the same time? Anyone familiar with this rule?

Since there are only two MAKE SURE YOU DO A WRITE IN CAMPAIGN FOR A THIRD!!!.

I also saved at least one Ron Paul supporter from being thrown off the ballot BY OUR OWN PEOPLE. I was at Ron Paul central in Harrisburg PA during the last hours and saw petitions from three supporters in the discard pile. They were all legit. One was ALL PETITIONS from one supporter that they said fell under the minimum 250. I recounted and it was above 270 so I saved his butt from being taken off the ballot by our own people. I also found petitions for two others to add "padding" to the 250+ they already had to make them less challengable. I found it astounding that our own people, through an ultra conservative review of our own petitions, did this. I wonder how many were there that I didn't find at the last minute which would have made them either make the ballot or add padding to them to make their challenges less likely. I'd hope that only the state and our rivals would be doing the challenging of our petitions, not our own guys in Harrisburg.

Suggestion for other states still doing petitions, do NOT take an ultra-conservative approach in trying to get rid of our own supporters. Accept ALL and only let the state or our rivals try to boot us off. For G_d's sake!

Good work!!
