No, I'm not directly donating either with the exception that I buy Tekton tools, a company owned by his family.

They have the best warranty in the affordable hand tool market, with much of it made in USA.

Bunk.
Individual damage calculation was impossible at the scale of what was done.

It in no way covered real damages to businesses from the shutdown. Which means it was not compensation for real damages, it was blanket, across the board, universal basic compensation.

It was not a test of UBI and provided no useful data for such.

Trump could take away every ICE vehicle, and give everyone an electric car, and you would claim it was completely unrelated and had nothing at all to do with "electrification" and the climate change agenda.

closest I come is a set of half inch drive deep well Michigan Industrial Tool impact six point sockets ( Grand Rapids , Mich)

I liked the name Michigan Industrial Tool better than Tekton. I guess they thought they were being cool with the name change.

Have you liked the sockets?

I was going to buy both sets of flarenut crowsfoots, but everyone seems to agree that there is none better than SnapOn, so I bucked up.

I might buy some Tekton hydraulic wrenches soon.

Tekton picks and mini pry bars are first rate for the money. So are their big pry bars which are made by Wilde. Hit and miss, some of their slip joint pliers are also made by Wilde.

Sockets have been good but I agree with tool truck flare nut crowsfeet . Wilde makes good tools , I have a pr of pliers and bought a couple punch and chisel sets and gifted on to one of my Sons. I actually like my Pittsburg pry bars ( Harbor Freight) and the 1/2 dr deep well impact sockets there of same brand are good and Home Depot Ryobi as well. I do try to buy American though but it is harder these days , all my Channelock and Klein pliers are still made in US, but my Blue Point ( Snap On ) pliers are made in Taiwan now I think. Kind of upgraded my old Craftsman ( USA) 3/8 and 1/4 short and deep wells to Matco and Bluepoint .

Craftsman is dead to me now. I will buy US made crapsman monkey wrenches when I seem them because they were the best.

For what its worth, HyperTough pry bars from the WalMarx are made by Wilde in the US. They are a bargain and are in normal stock in stores for some reason. They are guaranteed but you need to have the original receipt and they probably won't have US ones to warranty out if you do manage to break a prybar 40 years in the future. I managed to get by without prybars for the last 40+ years, but I now use them all of the time. I never knew what I was missing by not having a good set of picks and mini pry bars.

I'm going to buy a set of punches and chisels so I can have a complete set. I wonder if Tektons are made by Wilde. I think warranty through Tekton would be easier than Wilde.

I use my pry bars and picks a lot too , I even have the fancy Snap On picks but no real need for someone to pay that much for them probably.

Agreed.

For some reason, I find cathartic relief talking about hand tools than discussing the disaster of politics.

Sorry about the thread hijack everyone.

They might.
He did support having the military pay for Trans surgeries and giving voting rights to illegal invaders.

"The NDAA says nothing about transgender persons or their medical treatment. These subjects are not addressed in the bill. Voting no on an amendment cannot add these subjects to the bill."

When self-proclaimed constitutionalist Rep. Justin Amash (R-MI) endorsed impeachment of President Donald Trump, it shocked many conservative Republicans to see the former tea party favorite join in the Democrats’ witch hunt.
But Amash’s left-ward drift has been a long time in the making. One egregious example in recent years was Amash’s support of federally-funded elective surgery for transgenders in the military.
In 2017, Amash joined 190 Democrats and a handful of liberal anti-Trump Republicans to reject a proposal by Rep. Vicky Hartzler (R-MO) to deny federal funds for the elective surgery of military personnel claiming they are transgender.
“We must confront these challenges by ensuring our defense dollars maximize the military’s readiness and lethality,” Hartlzer said. “That is why I’m offering an amendment to advance these goals by prohibiting taxpayer dollars from funding gender reassignment surgeries and related hormone therapy treatment for members of the military and their dependents.”

The measure could have saved up to $3.7 billion over the next decade by refusing to indulge these potentially mentally ill individuals with genital mutilation surgery and other health care services pertaining to their condition. The supposed fiscal conservative voted in effect to expend federal funds on this social project.
After feeling the heat from his constituents regarding this vote, Amash first passed the buck, blaming former Defense Secretary James Mattis to his support of military transgenderism.
“Sec. [James] Mattis and the White House urged us not to adopt Hartzler Amendment [and] all the administration wants is three months to review everything,” he said.
The administration never confirmed Amash’s statement. It does not seem plausible that Amash, who has emerged as the top opponent to Trump in the Republican Party, would take orders from his White House.

Always talking out of both sides of his mouth, Amash seemed to endorse the idea of federally funding transgender medical care when addressing his followers on social media.
“Those who serve in our Armed Forces deserve the best medical care,” Amash wrote on his Facebook account. “One question we must ask and answer, with the aid of the medical community, is which treatments are medically necessary and which are simply elective. With respect to transgender persons, we should focus on the best science, not the political or philosophical opinions of partisans.”
Other times Amash has worked with Democrats have included his vote against Kate’s Law, his voting down of a resolution condemning illegal immigrants voting in elections, and his protection of Planned Parenthood funding with Obama-esque ‘present’ votes.
Two primary challengers have already announced that they will be battling against Amash next year to be the Republican U.S. Congressional nominee in Michigan’s third district.

What part of this don't you understand? ""The NDAA says nothing about transgender persons or their medical treatment. These subjects are not addressed in the bill. Voting no on an amendment cannot add these subjects to the bill.""

Just enough to be willingly manipulated by something he might honestly believe isn't the Controlled Oppo Division of the MSM.

And just like every libtard you ever dealt with, not believing the same op/ed peddlers he believes is reason enough for him to call his intellectual betters idiots.

The point was to prohibit what eventually happened, it didn't need to be prt of it to happen, it needed to be prohibited:

In 2017, Amash joined 190 Democrats and a handful of liberal anti-Trump Republicans to reject a proposal by Rep. Vicky Hartzler (R-MO) to deny federal funds for the elective surgery of military personnel claiming they are transgender.

And there's much more:

Other times Amash has worked with Democrats have included his vote against Kate’s Law, his voting down of a resolution condemning illegal immigrants voting in elections, and his protection of Planned Parenthood funding with Obama-esque ‘present’ votes.

And there's much more:[/QUOTEI already told you what the point was, ""The NDAA says nothing about transgender persons or their medical treatment. These subjects are not addressed in the bill. Voting no on an amendment cannot add these subjects to the bill.""

Everything else is just juvenile deflection. See, see what else he did.

Voting no on the amendment cleared the path for it to happen, and he expressed his support for it to happen and linked it to his vote:

“Those who serve in our Armed Forces deserve the best medical care,” Amash wrote on his Facebook account. “One question we must ask and answer, with the aid of the medical community, is which treatments are medically necessary and which are simply elective. You seem to think other people can't read or think.

lol It didn't pass by 1 or 2 votes

No just you. You don't get to tell Amash his reasoning. He does. Again "The NDAA says nothing about transgender persons or their medical treatment. These subjects are not addressed in the bill. Voting no on an amendment cannot add these subjects to the bill."

Doesn't matter how much it failed by.

Proving you can't read or are a blatantly gaslighting troll.
He told us his motivation was to let the DoD do it:

“Those who serve in our Armed Forces deserve the best medical care,” Amash wrote on his Facebook account. “One question we must ask and answer, with the aid of the medical community, is which treatments are medically necessary and which are simply elective. With respect to transgender persons, we should focus on the best science, not the political or philosophical opinions of partisans.”

He's pretending that the surgery could possibly be necessary and that "the science" should be allowed to declare it is.
Adding the prohibition to the bill was the entire point and what he opposed on progressive grounds.
