There's no clear frontrunner right now in the race for the GOP nomination to succeed retiring-Sen. Debbie Stabenow (D-Mich.). Among the contenders: former Detroit Police Chief James Craig, businessman Sandy Pensler, former Rep. Mike Rogers (R) and former Rep. Peter Meijer (R) — who succeeded Amash in Congress and also criticized the former president before recently reversing himself and vowing to support Trump if he wins the party's 2024 nomination.

Interesting. Mike Rogers is a candidate in the race, who I remember Justin has clashed with several times before, on national security issues I think. Rogers even fundraised for one of Amash's opponents, Brian Ellis.

If he thinks people have forgotten his support for the impeachment lies he is sorely mistaken.
LOLIf you think the Trump Ass-Kissing Test cuts any ice with the majority of voters you're sorely mistaken.
LOL
You are completely out of touch, and you learned nothing from Iowa.
Iowa was a referendum on whether Haley is more frightening than Trump.
I already knew she's more frightening than Trump. What was I supposed to learn?
I disagree. A very high number of rank and file Republicans continue to zealously support Trump/have TDS.
We knew that too. Just like you know they're not 50%.
Turnout at this year's Iowa caucuses was low. It was something like 15% of Iowa's registered Republicans, and much lower than it was in 2016.
Of those who showed up, I think almost all of the 51% who supported Trump really support him. They weren't holding their noses and just voting for what they saw as the lesser of 2 evils or the least of 4 evils.
The people who didn't really like any of the options didn't attend the caucuses.
So yeah, the Trump butt kissing litmus test has lost some of its potency compared with the last few elections. But it's still a big factor. And for Amash, when you combine that with the GOP establishment also being against him, that's probably too much to overcome.
TDS.
That must be why he speaks to loudly cheering overflow crowds everywhere he goes.
