Ron Paul Campaign Celebrates
Great Victory at Iowa Caucus

Paul makes history in first-in-nation voting state

LAKE JACKSON, Texas
The Ron Paul 2012 Presidential campaign is celebrating a great victory with its strong top-three finish at the Iowa Caucus. Below please find comments from Ron Paul 2012

National Campaign Chairman Jesse Benton
:
“The Ron Paul campaign is celebrating a great victory tonight.

“There were three tickets out of Iowa, and Ron Paul earned one of them.

“One of the three tickets, the one belonging to Rick Santorum, is a dead-end due to Santorum’s weak fundraising and lack of national campaign organization.

"This is now a two way race between establishment candidate Mitt Romney and the candidate for real change, Ron Paul.

“Ron Paul has a top notch national organization, tremendous fundraising prowess, and unequaled enthusiasm among his volunteers and supporters.

“Dr. Paul has taken the first step towards earning the delegates it will take to be the GOP nominee and is the only candidate not named Mitt Romney with the ability to do so.

“Ron Paul is now off to New Hampshire, South Carolina, Louisiana, Nevada, Maine, North Dakota, Washington, Colorado, and beyond.

"See you on the campaign trail.”

Wow, I'm going to look crazy on these forums today. My previous post was sober and pessimistic. Now I'm filled with more hope. Santorum can't get further than Iowa unless he pulls a rabbit out of his hat. Let's get 'em in NH!

Give up? That's for the likes of Bachmann, Perry and Huntsman. Not us. We've only just begun.

Sounds nice but don't kid yourself. Its a 4 man race for NH. Huntsman will likely get a free multi-million dollar advertising blitz by the press while Santorum will be characterized as "riding a wave of momentum out of Iowa".

rabbit=media. he has that covered.

yeah i am not buying the 2 man race crap. Our Campaign doesn't decide this 2 way race the media/gop establishment does

Paul's run, while dismissed by the mainstream media, has the type of grassroots financial support that will allow him to remain competitive, possibly for months, as he takes on Romney's super PAC money machine and Santorum's evangelical support. Paul is also the only other candidate besides Romney who qualified for the Virginia ballot. Paul's persistent presence threatens to prevent any other candidate from collecting enough delegates to lock up the nomination without a drawn-out battle. A long race, then, allows for all sorts of surprises, the type Romney would rather avoid.

Remember that the media doesn't support Santorum either, but they will use him to their best advantage.

This really is fairly accurate, Romney vs. Paul.

BTW, I love the avatar, Ghost Rider is my favorite super-hero! I mean who can't love an indestructable burning demon from hell using evil to fight evil?

Gee, I wonder what that says about me...

Curious if the MSM can give massive pushes to two candidates at once to in an effort to knock Paul from 2nd to 4th in NH. I expect NH to find Santorum thoroughly unpalatable.

They aren't going to push Santorum. They will savage him by Monday.

Have you been paying attention? They tore apart Bachmann, Perry, Cain and Gingrich and tried to do it to Paul. Anyone who pops up, they destroy. This isn't a "Media Vs Paul" game, this is a "Media Vs Everyone (With the exception of Mittens, maybe)" game.

Iowa was only important to us because we need to keep gaining momentum for the upcoming primaries and caucuses. I know we all wanted a win but I still like what our solid showing will do for us. Remember, there were thousands of people last night who just found Ron Paul for the first time and the media was surprisingly possitive for us. We GAINED recognition last night as Ron Paul was trending on Yahoo and his Facebook likes skyrocketed.

I am still thinking positive.
