It's now a 2 way race between Romney and Paul!!!!!

My old man often said "When a bully knocks you down, stand up, look them in the eye and ask them..is that all you got?" Then avoid the next hit and go for the knock out shot while they try to figure out why you weren't scared.

Don't count out Santorum too quickly. If BOTH Perry and Bachmann pull out and support Santorum, he immediately becomes viable. Especially if he inherits Perry's ground game.

They won't because Santorum has no viability and no power. Mitt does. They will endorse Mitt if anyone.

We need Gingrich and Santorum both to attack Romney is SC. I think if Ron Paul is painted as a strong (social) conservative he'll win.

Notice how Jesse left out FL

“Ron Paul is now off to New Hampshire, South Carolina, Louisiana, Nevada, Maine, North Dakota, Washington, Colorado, and beyond.

Yes, I noticed. But I noticed that 4 years ago. I am guessing that Florida is just too big of a state, and too expensive of a media market to make campaigning here worth while.

Fact is, Florida really is a microcosm of the country in general.

Bah, it's just too bad I live in a state that is heavily reliant on completely novice political activist. I just flat don't have the resources to hold up a campaign down here that is gonna flat ignore the support.

Best we can do is just send money, send volunteers, make calls, and be a good host for the convention.

They are not even gonna show up down here for rallies. Sucks!

Florida is winner take all and would take tens of millions to move up in the polls, and even then, it's still extremely unlikely that we would beat Romney. Romney's already airing ads there. We're better off competing for SC which is essentially a mini FL.

While third last night was tough to swallow, one thing gave me extreme hope - Ron Paul's energy during his speech. He knew something. Maybe it was that the movement will continue on no matter what. Maybe its that there is some real hope he could win. I'm not sure. But his infectious energy; his will to carry on was so evident that I can do nothing except believe him and march on with him.

I think many new comers may get discouraged like many of us did in '08, yet we have better perspective now because of our last loss and can understand this will always be a giant uphill battle. No need to run though. It's always growing. I'm going to follow the lead of Dr. Paul!

It's ok, FL will get all the attention in the general election.

Huntsman will never be a big player in this race. The evangelicals will NOT allow the nomination to come down to two mormons.

Rumor has it that Florida is proportional. This is if the RNC follows the rules. We'll see what happens in S.C. as far as proportional votes vs WTA. Same situation. I understand the campaigns complications with FL, but how are supporters here supposed to take it when the the letter from the campaign says we are one of two candidates who can run a national campaign, and then turn around and leave FL off the list?

Honestly, what is the point of expending the energy in this state as an activist if the campaign is not even interested in including the state in the discussion?

I felt the same way 4 years ago, but didn't let that stop me. I'll be honest, the ignorance of FL from the Ron Paul campaign is really taking it's toll. Especially considering the huge amount of money that pours out of this state for the national campaign.

Not trying to be negative, but this kind of treatment from the campaign towards a huge state like Florida makes me want to turn apathetic towards politics. Florida is not South Carolina. There isn't the huge religious block. In that sense S.C. is more like Iowa. Florida is much more of a mash up.

My hope is that the rules of the republican party are enforced down here, and Florida's delegates are split up proportionally. Then maybe the campaign would consider opening up ONE stinking office in the enclave districts in Orange and Pinellas/Hillsborough counties.

Florida is really a story of too little too late. The activist down here, (like me) are novices. There was no combined effort to get registrations in before the deadline. There is no communication about the delegate process. There is still talk about whether or not Florida is proportional or WTA, and certainly no one is trying to influence that decision. Activist here were counting on winning Iowa to kick off activities such as sign bombs.

I will walk my precinct and probably more, but the focus is totally on "super voters", people who voted in 2008. There is no effort to expand the base here by the activist, which is the winning formula touted by the campaign.

I really don't understand the disconnect. The complaint about Florida is that it's too big of a media market, winner take all, and old people. Well, from the meetups I have been to, I don't see young people. I see people >30 for the most part. Mostly people >45.

Bah, if the campaign will ignore Florida like this, what does that say about national prospects? TO me it says, that the campaign doesn't really have a "top notch national organization" and it's "funding prowess" is limited to smaller markets and they have vastly over estimated and relied to heavily upon "unequaled enthusiam of volunteers and supporters".

I am not saying the campaign is lying about those things. What I am saying is that leaving Florida off that list was a bullshit dick move.

The campaign is playing the delegates game. Rumor also has it that FL is WTA, and in that case, the campaign could waste millions and end with zero delegates or invest that money in smaller states and end with a big chunk of the delegates.

SC is a mini FL in the sense that it is an early primary which has huge influence on the race. The influence isn't proportional to size or delegates in comparison to FL either. If the campaign by some miracle pulled off a win in SC the race would be wide open.

So, FL isn't a wise investment. Sorry that you're butthurt that they are ignoring your home state.

You guys realize the MSM will now begin the squeeze and guess what, Ron Paul is the one gettin' squeezed out.

They will do everything in their power to make the "2 man race" between Santorum and Romney.

Let's not kid ourselves here.

3rd place is NOWHERE CLOSE to a victory.

I'm not saying this is over. What i'm saying is be sober and realistic.

I think that Florida is WTA so I can understand the campaign skipping this pos state. I'll GOTV in my community but I don't expect munch.

But I still haven't seen one political ad for any candidate here, except for Ron Paul during the Reagan debate a few months back.

You guys are high if you don't think the money is going to come rolling in for Santorum now. He was the lobbyists best friend when he was in the Senate, everyone knows he is for sale. I suspect he will get a lot more funds, as usually happens if you place high in Iowa. I think Santorum is beatable, because his record is awful. But this is not over by a longshot.

I was watching last night, and EVERY MSM that was talking was saying congrats to Santorum but he can;t continue due to no money and no organization. They said with one contest per week going forward, there is no way even if he gets a lot of money that he can build the necessary organization. He will probably not even compete in New Hampshire as evangelicals are not the voting bloc that they are in Iowa or SC. Seriously, if you want to talk about a squeeze play, last night on the MSM I heard a lot of "Ron Paul will be in this for a long time" and "Santorum did great in Iowa, but won't be around long". Several even mentioned that he has not really had much scrutiny, and said that once his Senate record came out he would dive.
