Its Happening....Zombies.

Now that was a reasonable reason for a cop to kill someone.

Cops are supposed to use their weapon only in self-defense....the cop could have tased the naked man...or shot him in the leg...shoot to kill was supposed to be a last resort option.

Well good thing I've been running my ethics through the prism of The Walking Dead universe...I'm prepared philosophically (and mostly otherwise...lol).

I remember my dad was at the bar with my stepdad and my stepdad was drunk calling my mother all kinds of names. My father asked him three times to stop, that was the mother of his child. He wouldn't shut up. Right or wrong (wrong), my dad took him outside beat him up and brought him back and bought him a drink. When he started to talk more smack about my mom again, my dad took him back outside. My stepdad went to the hospital...my dad bit a hole in his cheek so that you could see through to his teeth. My stepdad never talked smack about my mom again. Plastic surgery fixed his face, and he didn't dare call the cops on my dad (my dad knew all kinds of crooked cops anyways).

But my dad had his clothes on...lol.

While use of force laws vary with each state, here in Texas is it lawful for someone to use deadly force in defense of another person as long as the person being defended would be justified in using deadly force in self defense.

When using deadly force, it is appropriate to attempt to kill the individual you are attacking. Attempting to use deadly force in a non lethal manner is dangerous and can create liabilities that are not worth the trouble.

He did non-lethally shoot him. He kept biting the guy's face off, even after being shot. Cops are allowed to defend other people too, you know.

Not sure about cops, but according to FL law, a citizen probably could have legally done such. (I am not a lawyer and this is not legal advice, obviously.)

Chapter 776 was amended by the Legislature in 2005. The changes that took effect on October 1, 2005, extended the provisions of what is known as the “Castle Doctrine,” declaring that a person has no duty to retreat and has the right to stand his or her ground and meet force with force if that force is necessary to prevent death, great bodily harm or the commission of a forcible felony.

Who ever linked to the bad link has removed it since then, viewing this thread no longer generates that block and message.
That link on the other hand is still marked as bad by NOD32.

I thought the screenshot was pretty clear...
NOD32 has Blocked: 78.47.137.150:80

The entire domain is marked as a known malware installer...

"The web page is on the list of websites with potentially dangerous content."

This better?:

I mean look, I go to the pic link to look at the pic and see what happens ^^
Nod32 instantly blocks an .ico file from downloading..
Did I click on a link to download an .ico file? Nope, I just pasted the .jpg link into my address bar.
So why is it serving me an .ico file? Oh I know, because its a malware installing site...
Anyways, browse safe!

A fire fighter returning to a burning building, after being told to abandon it, and risking his life to save anothers life is a hero. Shooting someone at a distant who is eating someone elses face doesn't qualify for 'hero' status in my book. I think it is an over-used accolade these days and it lessens its meaning.

What's the actual definition aside from your touchy feely ideas about it, though?

Justified unjustified crack about a mile wide.

Don't go nuts and chew on people's faces.

Bad **** will happen to you.
This is reality.

Just as an FYI to anyone who's curious:

If someone is chewing my face off, please shoot them. Multiple times if necessary.

Thanks in advance, and I'll do the same for you.
