Was the life of the L.E.O. ever in danger? Was there even a chance of personal injury? No? Then he is not a 'hero.' Of course the F.O.P. would have us believe that walking out the door makes them a 'hero.'

I think of it this way, "would I shoot the offender to stop the victim from getting his face chewed off?" If my answer is yes, then the cop gets a pass.
My answer is yes. Even though I also would be in no danger.
This is exactly what I thought!! LOL Especially since the cop shot the guy and he just kept on eating, had to shoot him multiple times.
Ohhhh...I need to put some Zombie flicks in the queue.
Barring zombies, what would make someone streak and go around biting peoples' faces?
They also have really clean houses!Methamphetamine. It does weird things to your brain. In fact, there is little that separates a Meth addict from a Zombie. Truly, it is a sickening drug. While users need all treatment options available, manufacturers and dealers of this poison deserve to be hunted.

If you have a shitty anti-virus, consider yourself just hit by a drive by :/
If you haven't seen Zombieland, put it on top. It's really good.
Um?
I would think the guy whose face was being chewed off while lying on an off-ramp was probably in a bit of danger.
That doesn't make much sense. Why do you have to be in danger in order to be a hero? I thought heroism was about saving others, not yourself. That's like the opposite of heroism.
I'm not defending the cop. I reserve judgment on him. I'm just challenging your bogus definition of heroism.

A figher fighter returning to a burning building, after being told to abandon it, and risking his life to save anothers life is a hero. Shooting someone at a distant who is eating someone elses face doesn't qualify for 'hero' status in my book. I think it is an over-used accolade these days and it lessens its meaning.
I certainly wouldn't call myself a hero for it.
