It finally happened. Officers abused and cavity searched someone I know.

No worries, I'm glad to answer what I can. Her lawyer is from Olathe, hopefully this means he's not too tied in to the Mission LEO's. The Plaintiff's attorney advised them NOT to file a complaint with the ACLU. (They are anyway). Her lawyer said that he assumed they would rule this way. (I'm guessing this is just how it works so they can milk more money from you) The next trial will be with a jury and she hopes that makes a big difference. She's tired of dealing with all this and with the pain it's caused her kids, but is happy that she's able to bring the corruption in Mission to light. The Post office is claiming there is no video. The video the sign says they would have would prove that she is not guilty of the crap they are claiming. Three separate postal workers lied under oath. The judge had also told them not to talk about the case to each other yet she says they were all huddled outside the court room multiple times.

The system is so broken, this is sickening.

I hope she gets the video from the post office and then charges each one of them with perjury.

I said that to her last night too. I wish someone from the inside would come forward with a video.

I still don't understand.

You said the judge decided the case. This makes no sense.

Did she plead guilty? I have been through the system a couple times.. and once in Missouri.

A Judge does not decide guilt. Either a plea is made,, or a jury decides. The judge only oversees the process and sets the sentence afterward.

This sounds like a hearing,, an arraignment,, where the judge simply decides whether there is a case or not,, if there is enough evidence to go forward.

it makes no sense.

This needs to go before a jury.
