the GOP is running on the slogan "anybody but obama" but as a ron paul supporter i believe "No one but paul"

this shows the contrast between us and the rest of the GOP.

we see the rest of the gop field along with obama following the same footprint. more foreign occupations ..more nation building however we as ron paul supporters see the big picture. we know there isnt a damn difference between the 2 parties.

One does have more options ;)
Heck,
Voting for Paul is in effect supporting the GOP, because Paul is not Obama ... Now what was the complaint, again LOL

It is shortsighted. Effectively, if Osama bin Laden's corpse was running against Obama, these people would vote for OBL.

Yes, the democrats tried to do the "anybody but Bush" thing in 2004, look where it got them.

We are so screwed...

Yes and I try to address this sentiment whenever I encounter it, which is often.

Whats the point of replacing Obama with a Republican whose record is ideologically similar to Obama's?

The conventional thinking is that any Republican is better than Obama. Even those that concede that they are two sides of the same coin, see some marginal benefit to having Romney in over Obama. I have heard it stated that Obama and Romney are both driving us off a cliff, but Obama is going 100MPH and Romney 80MPH.

And remember that most voters do see a 3rd party vote as a wasted vote. The folks that I talk to who do not support Paul in the primary would gladly do so in the general, if he was able to win the nomination. They just do not see the value in going third party if he is not the nominee, and that includes most of my local Paul voters as well. Not everyone, who will vote for Paul in the primary are NOBP people. In fact, I can account for about 50 Paul voters here in my neighborhood and none of them would be NOBP. I have only found that sentiment on the forums, and not in my day to day life.

Hmm... "anyone but Obama" + "no one but Paul"..............

Hmmm...........

Hold on a second................. Ahhhh????!!

Ehh????

*snaps fingers*

GOT IT!

RON PAUL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Wait...so you are just now realizing that they are different from you?

I have to say...No One But (anyone) is a losing strategy. Living in an All or Nothing world is a guaranteed life of disappointment. Because you will RARELY get "all"

Sorry..but Ron Paul is NOT going to be president on January 20, 2013. The sooner you accept reality and think about OTHER ways to improve things, the better off you will be.

Deep down in his heart, even Ron Paul knows this. He simply wants to be heard. It is VERY doubtful that he has any delusions of spending his late 70s/early 80s in the White House. (Not the least of which is all you have to do is look at Bush in 2008 compared to 2000 or Obama now compared to 2008 and see how it ages an otherwise YOUNG person. The stress of the job is simply too much for an octogenarian.

But unlike other people, Ron Paul is smart enough to know hat he doesn't HAVE to win to make changes. That is why whenever there is talk of him being VP and people saying "I wouldn't vote for him even if he WAS VP it is a shame. A real shame that some people apparently wouldn't think Ron Paul would be smart enough to understand what he is doing. And to know that even at the largely symbolic position of VP, it would further the movement far more than nothing.

I know when I am playing a slot machine, I am hoping for a couple cherries rather than three JACKPOT symbols. I'll take a bunch of "2 cherry" payouts over nothing any day. And like it or not, the odds are about he same for Ron Paul to be president as it is to get three Jackpots.

I agree, anybody but Obama is not only short-sighted, but rather Blind !!
what use is getting Obama out of office, if the new guy still goes for more wars, more debt and deficit, and more bailouts ?
it will still give inflation, food stamps to the poor, still push the middle class to a tier lower and still benefit the big corporations and big banks.
it does nothing for the country, but only for a few special interests.

people need to get out of this Anyone But Obama hypnosis, and focus on issues.
