Well, first Britain then we plopped Israel in their midst and propped it up, set up puppet dictators like the Shah, kicked the asses of everyone who thought for one minute about selling oil for something other than dollars (even if we had to trick them into invading Kuwait to justify it), and demonized them all--and their religion to boot. And that's just for starters.

If they did it to you, you'd be twice as pissed as you are now, and you'd actually have good reason to be.

I'm sure there is religious justification within the Koran for this clowns desire to kill as many of us as possible.

You're right, even if we change our foreign policy we will still get attacked and we will have to fight for probably the next 20 yrs. The anger over the past 50 yrs will not disappear. But without our oppressive foreign policy to use as a recruitment tool and if we are careful about who we kill, their numbers will dwindle down until they are a minor inconvenience.

If we maintain our current foreign policy and military tactics, they can recruit a 10 new jihadis for every 1 we kill. This will leave us with 2 options... a major war that will last forever or genocide. And we won't choose genocide.

It is strange because Kuwait has US military bases and provided most help in Iraqi invasion. The speaker probably represents a combination of jihadi dogmatism and blowback. If he's just a dogmatic on holy crusade, he won't have that many listeners in his audience. Blowback from Israeli occupation of arab land and their brutal oppression creates the most violent recruits that we have seen so far. Without our support for Israeli occupation, we would have as much anti-American jihad in Kuwait as ther is anti Germany or anti Holland jihad there, which is negligible.
