Something I've noticed this week in a bunch of articles, the seem to be adding the term "Diminutive Texas Congressman", kind of like they used to say quixotic in the past.

I thought he was over 6 ft? Is he smaller than I thought?

No he is as tall as you thought. The media likes to pick certain words and run with them as a form of a smear. In this case, they chose a word which they hope will reinforce the idea that Ron is weak or frail in the minds of the general public.

QFT. They are deliberately using the word as a smear.

I've heard about six feet as well. Not 'diminutive'. I understand he still takes stairs two at a time.

Ron Paul is over 6' ?? I mean I can understand how some would think he's 8' tall since his ideas dwarf the competition, but... really? ;)

Lot's of Americans likes crazy talk from their Prez, "George Bush smokin' out terrorists" or "Obama giving super emotional speeches."

If diminutive is really a notch or two below these clowns, I'll take it.

Of course he is, he is also cranky, quixotic,a gadfly, kooky, nutty, etc. He is like us and that's what we love. Lame stream media is insulting US. But a toe sucking, popeye the sailor man singing, prostitute loving Dick Morris(the purveyor of BS) is a fine upstanding political analyst and Eliot Spitzer gets his own show.

^^^^ I wish my arms and shoulders were that well defined!

With so many Americans today being obese, anyone whose weight is proportional to their height must be considered "diminutive"?

I'm 6'1" and in the picture I had taken with him in 2007 he looks at most 2" shorter than me. I'd say he's between 5'11" and 6'0".

Dude's cut.

I can attest to the obese thing. I'm just over six feet tall and weigh in around 165. Growing up I always got the comments about being "sickly" and that I needed to gain weight. It's all a bullshit narrative. We are winning :D

He's probably around 5'11 145 lbs. It wouldn't kill him to eat a couple extra chocolate chip cookies.

Less than 6'. I'm 6' 2" and he was quite a bit shorter than me when I said hello to him. Maybe 5'8"?

Let's not go all Kim Jong Il about Ron now. He wasn't born on a mountain top, can't shoot 18 holes in one and does poop. :)

Joe Rogan is pretty officially 5' 8" (there are several UCF bios about him and he always mentions his height on his podcast for some reason).
So I would estimate that Ron Paul is right around 6 foot (+/- 1 in) based off this photo:

Ron Paul is very slender, but I would in no sense consider him "diminutive." And even if he was, James Madison was only 5'3'' and he was one of the best (better) Presidents of all time!

When I have been next to him, I would say he is about my height. 6ftish. Taller than Robert Reich, who might fairly require the adjective "diminutive."

He's not very tall.

I've met him a couple of times, and I'd say he was small-medium build.

Regardless, it is a smear attempt.

No articles that I've seen start off with "the portly Newt Gingrich" or " the wild haired Donald Trump" or "the perfectly manicured Mitt Romney".

No kidding(well, mine are)...and at nearly 80!?!?!

Guess this is what a good heart and mind-soul- get you into the older years.

Ron Paul-I'm not getting older-I'm getting better.
