I can certainly agree that trade is a much smaller contributor to our country's success/failure than all the other things.

Which is one of the reasons I'm against it... at least the modern scale of it... why risk all the entangling alliances for what amounts to a small benefit (presuming there is indeed a benefit)

As I've said before, if there are items that are legitimately easier to grow elsewhere (usually agriculture), then by all means, trade the shit out of it.

There are two things I have disagreed with Ron Paul about - the death penalty, and the AUMF for Afghanistan.

But he came around on both of those - so we're at 100%, too, now.

Well my thoughts so far are that I like DeSantis as an executive who leads and gets things done. I like Paul as a legislator and he does excellent work in the Senate. My mind could be changed if they both run, I look forward to the primary.
