Is Rand Paul eyeing a 2028 presidential run?

So, that's why 64 foreign countries showed up at the St. Louis World's Fair in 1904 vying for our business?

I'm sure you can say the same about "massive".

If the tiny amount of trade that we did in the 19th century and before, was such a huge factor in becoming an economic superpower

Then the huge amount of trade that we did in the 20th and 21st centuries, should have propelled us into the economic stratosphere.

It didn't.

We've been riding on the coattails of our previous success for many generations now.

It can only last so long.

And trading free trade for managed trade hasn't been as big a factor as things like an asinine regulatory regime, but it hasn't helped at all.

I can certainly agree that trade is a much smaller contributor to our country's success/failure than all the other things.

Which is one of the reasons I'm against it... at least the modern scale of it... why risk all the entangling alliances for what amounts to a small benefit (presuming there is indeed a benefit)

Tell it to Henry Ford, who made his fortune putting America on wheels clad with the sap of a tree that refuses to grow in the US.

As I've said before, if there are items that are legitimately easier to grow elsewhere (usually agriculture), then by all means, trade the shit out of it.

I'm not against all trade.

Just most trade

his view on the drug war shows he is an authoritarian

Rand would be 1 million times better

Not to mention his pathetic e-Verify that he was so proud of - and even posted signs [at tax payer expense] throughout the entire state bragging about it.

Same here. I'm not aware of anything I've really disagreed with Massie about.

There are two things I have disagreed with Ron Paul about - the death penalty, and the AUMF for Afghanistan.

But he came around on both of those - so we're at 100%, too, now.
What about Ron Paul's belief that the majority of the American people believe in freedom?

Well my thoughts so far are that I like DeSantis as an executive who leads and gets things done. I like Paul as a legislator and he does excellent work in the Senate. My mind could be changed if they both run, I look forward to the primary.

There are far, far more important issues than trade.

Mentioning trade as a top issue is kinda shrink of Rand.

Can you provide more details on this? Everything I can find from googling says Rand is against e-verify.

Yea cus that's worked out great for us so far!
In 2016 a lot of people chose an orange bully because they were lead to believe he was actually going to lock up the pedophiles he was actually friends with. At least we don't have that as a problem in 2028.
