Is Gary Johnson actually part of the plan to make Ron Paul the nominee?

Its unlikely that nearly 400 ROMNEY supporters are going to decide that they would prefer Ron Paul, and by extension their belief that it would assure Obama a victory. And that is not even counting the Gingrich and Santorum delegates that will vote for Romney on behalf of their former candidates, also numbering near 400 hundred. Injecting a little bit of common sense and mathematical realism into this forum, as well as Ron Paul's OWN belief that he will not be the nominee and President, should not be met with such hostility. Sorry if it appears that I am being rude to people, but they are acting like children.

It's an uphill battle, no one has said otherwise. Tortoise v. The Hare? Finish strong, no matter how far behind.

I thought I would break the tie and i rarely give a neg rep..maybe two or three since 07.

Rev9

Currently, for this thread, it stands at 7 plus reps and 11 neg reps. Only posting this to give an indication of the general opinion of the forum.

Except that I think people are more restrained with neg reps. I've never given one at all and I give out a lot of plus reps. So I'm not sure they weigh the same if you are actually looking for the general opinion of the forum.

Ron Paul is NEVER going to be the nominee and NEVER going to be President. I can't believe these delusions are still rampant on this forum.

This indicates to me an absolute. In my world Ron Paul still has the ability sometime to be the nominee and possibly be president. It may not happen in this cycle but it is still a possibility and I look forward to that possibility.

If you wish to clarify that, I will negate my neg rep.

Negative thoughts do not belong here. I can accept the view that Ron Paul might not secure the nomination in 2012. I cannot accept that he will NEVER be the nominee or NEVER be president. No Ron Paul supporter that I know would either.

We are Ron Paul supporters. We stand united against the enemies of freedom and liberty in every form. We deserve mutual respect, not derision.

Yep, I've only given 1 neg rep, and that was someone crapping on another member. But I'd neg rep GA's post, but I don't see that it would do any good, besides, he is free to have his opinion, I just VEHEMENTLY DISAGREE with it, even if he turns out being right in the long run, this ain't done :)

well if it is, that would explain why MN of the DP is allowing GJ threads to inundate the site.oing
This has baffled me, especially because he now claims that Paul "conceded in that email to his supporters"....
Paul never conceded that I read or heard.
Not even close to any concession so that would explain alot of whats going on at the DP.
Maybe thats why J. Nap is giving high marks to GJ

Well that's exactly right FreedomFighter1776. Remember the old line that was so popular way back when? "I'm tiger woods", I think it was.

Well, you're Ron Paul. And so are a great many others. That's the beauty of it. Besides. Looking at things in the perspective of election cycles is just so... oh, Idon't know...yesterday. That's the great thing about today. Right? Anyhoo. See you tomorrow. ;)

Right. Okay, well, if that involves being delusional and ignorant and ignoring Ron Paul's own statements, I guess I better stay out of the fantasy threads.

deleted. but it's still true. and it wasn't something nice about you.

Romney does not care if he gets elected. His job description is to assist in the false dog-and-pony-show by "running" for President. He understands who his puppet masters are and realizes that he and Obama work for the same bosses.

I wish I could + this 1000 times, couldn't be more right.

This is the worst (former) five-star thread ever.

You are insane.

Not really. Romney's a terrible candidate, most notably due to his inability to take advantage of Obama's principal weakness, which is Obamacare. The establishment GOP's support for him demonstrates that they don't consider winning in November to be a high priority. And besides -- Obama and Romney both support Obamacare, NDAA, and foreign aggression, so what difference does it really make who's in office?

GOP is just throwing the race

It seems that way to me too. Romney couldn't hang with McCain and McCain lost to Obama. Unlike the Paul campaign, the Romney campaign hasn't increased its base since 2007. So if McCain lost to Obama and Romney is still less popular than McCain, then Romney will likely lose.

Romney has spent the last 6 years of his life running for president full time. To imply that he doesn't care if he wins...as if all his desires and emotions in life are completely controlled by some shadow figure, is really only a half notch away from calling him a reptillian. It's batshit insane.

Romney likely cares, but the money supporting him is the same money that supports Obama. I think they care only slightly.
