Is anyone getting TeaParty07.com?

I just got off the phone with yahoo small business. This is where the domain was registered. He said all the setting were correct as did GoDaddy, but he did say there was a problem with the DNS. Not something I could control but something they can..

So he "reactivated" the DNS. He said that the site should be up in 20 minutes for all of us (or nearly all of us). That was at 1:07 pm EST. So we should have the site back up at 1:30 pm.

He said if the site is not back up there could still be a problem, to call back and this time they will be able to troubleshoot the next step, whatever that may be.

The good news for all this is that the settings are all correct, it's just a matter of working through whatever glitches are out there on the net if any remain. This to me says we will have this site back up shortly and yes it will be well in time for the debates this evening. I'm just going to stay on it until this is fixed.

Cool. You changed hosting or whatever so there can be more than 150 users at once?

Please Let Someone Else Host This Until You Get Your Host Worked Out!!!!!!!!!!!
I don't believe that would help, as that would mean that teaparty07.com would need to point to yet another IP address, which would simply prolong the problem, not solve it (not even temporarily).

As long as it's up for the debate tonight it'll all be good. Catching the eyes of potential NEW voters is more important than our refresh-habit. :D

ok, so what genius changes their dns two days before possibly being slammed with traffic?

I havent gone to the site, but I wonder how bad it would be to put an advert on there to generate some revenue to donate to ron paul?

Quit being a jerk. We had extreme issues with the site going down on the old plan, the only option was to change plans and go to a new server.

You take every opportunity you can to slam Trevor. Just stop it... the problem has been fixed.

ughughugh, Service Unavailable, this is sick

It's not trevor's fault directly, but he keeps going to these big-name sucky budget hosts and they keep doing what they do best, drop the ball.

No I don't. I don't even know him.

I do question his hosting provider judgement capabilities though heh

You're right... What's done is done and all we can do is move on, but I don't think the guy you responded to was out of line. If someone is going to step up to the plate and take on a project as large as teaparty07 is, he better be ready to catch criticism if things go wrong. Things went wrong and it was the fault of the one in control of the domain.

"extreme issues with the site going down on the old plan"
There are several ways to handle a situation like this without any downtime.

Anyway... Of the handful of DNS servers I tested, about half have the correct information... so that's progress.

Still not working here in Chicago, IL. Hope they really fixed it.. I'm not convinced until it works on my computer... I've been waiting and checking hourly and just hope it's working before the debate begins.
