Is anyone getting TeaParty07.com?

Dear geniuses of the internet,
If the site is down for someone with a working internet connection, then it is down for everyone, no matter if you're in CA, IL, MA, or the International Space Station. There is no reason to post your state of residence and whether or not the site is accessible to you.

How do you explain this?

Pinging teaparty07.com [68.178.254.39] with 32 bytes of data:

Reply from 68.178.254.39: bytes=32 time=111ms TTL=108

Reply from 68.178.254.39: bytes=32 time=110ms TTL=108

Ping statistics for 68.178.254.39:

Packets: Sent = 4, Received = 4, Lost = 0 (0% loss),

Approximate round trip times in milli-seconds:

Minimum = 109ms, Maximum = 111ms, Average = 109ms

What happens when you ping it? The point is that I AM pinging the server because my DNS is pointing to the right place, whereas I believe your DNS is not.

If anyone else wants to try, in windows xp:

Start - Run - (type) cmd - hit OK

in window that opens, type: cd\ (this takes you to the root of your c: drive)
type: ping teaparty07.com>tea.txt

find the tea.txt in your c: drive, open it, and paste the contents here

you're wrong
read up on DNS propagation

this is a DNS issue

People have put tens of thousands of man hours into promoting this, making videos, and Ron Paul and others have mentioned it on national television more than a handful of times... and the site is down? Whatever it takes to make the site/server be reliable and handle thousands of viewers at once should have been done yesterday. I'm not following the problem here. Is it money? We are going for millions in one day and the site is a big part of that effort. A thousand dollars for it is as an investment wouldn't be a big deal at all.

The problem most likely is the result of someone running the show who doesn't fully know what they're doing. There's no legitimate excuse that I can think of for teaparty07.com to NOT resolve when it previously did, other than incompetence.

Very unfortunate.

It's down, and all we can do is wait. The same thing happened when the site was launched. It sucks, but all you can do is be patient. Being upset or pinging it over and over is not going to bring it back up any faster.

Dear geniuses down on Earth... I still can't get the site up here on the International Space Station... but we are just passing over Chicago, and I'm trying to patch my connection through a really weak Starbucks WiFi signal down on Upper Wacker Drive.

Oh, and my friend Yuri the Cosmonaut says you're wrong about DNS propagation, but he's had a lot of Vodka lately, so I don't take everything he says seriously. :p

If I remember correctly, the last time this happened and Nathaniel and Trevor made DNS changes, it took nearly 2 days to fully propagate.

resolver1.svr.pol.co.uk resolves teaparty07.com to 68.178.254.39
resolver2.opendns.com resolves it to 208.69.32.139
most DNS servers don't know about it

no telling wtf they did

if you want to see teaparty07.com up and running, create a host entry which points teaparty07.com to 68.178.254.39, then put teaparty07.com in your web browser

^^^^-- NOT GOOD --

If DNS servers were changed they should have updated by now and it should not have caused any down-time.

This is getting ridiculous. This has been down for what, 2 days now? Or at the least it doesn't work where I'm at.

I wish trevor would just let me put the site up. I'm having the guy who sysadmins for ronpaulradio contact him too (mdh!). either of us could host it.

Oh, and this is coming from a guy who posted this, when we had the same problem last time:

Site is down
Next time use godaddy.
Lesson learned.

Sorry, couldn't resist. ;)
