Is anybody watching the hearing?

Almost every senator who speaks is starting out by saying how upset their constituents are over the proposed bailout.

yea now harry reid is saying all the democrats want to pass this bill & that its for the good of the people

They dont care what you think. They will do what they want or what they are told.

Hehe good morning Mrs.D!

This guy has made some very good points. This bailout won't make anything go away, just move it from one place to another. Whoa! He just called it like it is.

Was that Brown of OH? I didn't catch much, but he sounded good until the end when he was wimping about oversight.

Mrs. D. sounded like she is on our side. She's pretty foxy for an old lady, eh?

Hard to listen while I work. :(

It was Brown from Ohio. He seemed a bit mad, eh?

Yahoo finance top article..."Stocks Rise as Investors Track Hearing on Bailout- AP"
Funny must not be liking what is being said in last few minutes...earlier gains are falling.

Bunning was great, and I wish I had a YouTube. He branded it as financial socialism.

Paulson just said that the root of the problem lies in Congressional charters from many, many years ago.

Yeah, but not the one he's talking about. The real Congressional charter that caused problems is not Freddie/Fannie. It's the FED, STUPID!

Paulson just said that he WANTS Congressional oversight. That's like sending a rent-a-cop to break up a hostage situation. CONGRESSIONAL oversight? That's an oxymoron, based on what I've seen from the 110th Congress. Yeah, like he wouldn't claim EXECUTIVE PRIVILEGE????????
