Iran vs Israel a debate

So here there was a very nice interview, debate, discussion between the two sides, and I think each side represented their view very accurately. And what I found was while one side used reasoned logic and historical evidence as counter the other side repeated nothing more than fear, fear and fear and labeling as proof.

Iran wins the debate hands down in my opinion.

This is why I've been waiting for it to happen. Someone needs to put them in their place. I'm sick of them doing pretty much whatever they want to do and getting away with it every time because we allow it. Israel is like the spoiled, unruly child who never got disciplined by his parents because he was "special".

Of course that will likely be what Israel's operatives in Congress and the White House will use to sell the Iran War to us. That or some other lie that the war propaganda machine has sold us in the past like the Gulf of Tonkin, the Kuwaiti babies thrown out of their incubators that never happened, or Saddam's WMD's that didn't exist just like Iran.

His main fallacy is that he associates Iran and Hezbollah with suicide bombing and Islamic extremism. Iran is one of the most progressive nations in the middle east, and Hezbollah does not use suicide bombing as a general tactic. People need to understand that Hezbollah is not Al Qaeda. Iran is not Al Qaeda. Persians are not Arabs. There is a world of difference between all these groups yet we keep bundling them together as if they are all part of the same group.

An Attack on Iran would be Incredibly Stupid.

It is also very likely inevitable.

I fear that Israel's aggressive posturing towards Iran is a tactic to antagonize Iran into aggression, thereby "justifying" U.S. intervention; since, direct U.S. action would likely prompt reprisal among Americans and the global community.

The conflict between these two nations is ancient and the United States is not going to solve it for them anytime soon.

Israel has no military capability to strike and sustain a war with Iran. Its largely a numbers war too, Iran is over 70 times larger in size and over 10 times bigger in population. Iran has resources and logistical lines. They have the largest long range BM arsenal in the Middle East. So the notion that tiny Israel is going to strike Iran with fighters that cant even get there is just silly and stupid, because Israel's concentrated infrastructure and economy will go down the drain within days of such an operation.

All this with no guarantee that the Iranian nuclear program would be destroyed. Infact, the Iranians already have pseudo nuclear sites to use in case of an attack to continue their program. It'll push Iran to openly make a weapon and conventionally hurt Israel at the same time.

Attacking Iran would be stupid because they now have backing from Pakistan, Russia, and China if Israel of the US touch them. Our foreign policy is really screwing us all of a sudden.

Also, their prime minister seems to think that Israel can defend themselves quite fine without our help, so they must be capable of sustaining a war with Iran unless he is bluffing.

The state of Israel is less than 100 years old. The US has been attacking Iran since the early 50s.

These examples aren't applicable to the current situation. Japan actually had enormous strategic and technological advantages over Russia. China was in the middle of a civil war. The UK always had unparralleled naval power and could easily conquer backwards third world nations.

I hope Israel defends it's self. They want to be seen as an independant self suffciant state than theyhave to defend themselves! They can use their men, women and MONEY to protect their boarders! so tired of fighting for other countries. We have our own fight with an oversized, social leaning, over spending goverment. Iran got the backing of Syria, Russia and China. To what extend the support of Russia and China would go in a war situation against the US and Israel is unclear. Open support? Covert support? Either way, the US and Israel's irrational behaviour and open threat about starting another war is scaring the living shit out of Iran. So they have no choice then to appear strong and arm themselfs as good as possible, and thats what they have been doing the last few years.
