Iowa Poll: Ron Paul at 7% (Fred Karger Internal Poll)

yep if we get 5,000 people to vote for Ron in the straw poll we will be seen as a legit contender! everyone of us should be in Ames during the week of the straw poll knocking doors and making phone calls. The campaign should put most of the may 5th moneybomb money towards the Ames straw poll. start airing commercials and putting ads in the newspapers!

I'm not sure what the magic number is, I guess we should just work as hard as we can up there and get as many people as possible.

Mitt Romney: 19%
Mike Huckabee: 17%
Sarah Palin: 9%
Donald Trump: 8%
Newt Gingrich: 7%
Ron Paul: 7%

Guys, look at these numbers.

Huckabee and Palin - both are likely not running. As someone said, we've got to plan for the worst, but with them out, a lot of their votes will go toward our campaign.

Romney - hardcore abortion supporter. People in Iowa won't be too happy with that. Also, super flip-floppy.

Trump - Donated to Harry Reid, close ties with Rahm Emmanuel, no political experience, bankruptcy, etc..he's ahead right now due to name recognition, but those who politically eduacte themselves will see he's the fluff candidate.

Newt - Divorced cancer wife scandal.

13% not sure. These numbers, if swung to our side, will help. A lot.

Something very sad about putting out a press release touting an internal poll showing you at 1%; which is what Fred Karger did here.

Wasn't Trump supposed to be in the lead just a week ago? This basically has him equal to Ron Paul.

These are Iowa caucus-goers, which differ significantly from the overall landscape. The type of people that Trump appeals to do not typically go to caucuses, particularly in Iowa. What's great about caucuses for us, however, is that Ron Paul tends to appeal to the type of people who caucus.

That's what I thought at first too. Are you sure? First line calls it a "national poll".

Internal poll. There was an internal poll by Trey Grayson showing him tied to Rand just before the primary when Rand blew him out by 23 points. I wouldn't make any particular plans based on internal polls.

I'm confused by the poll as well, so I am not sure. It might also be that in order to get Karger up to 1%, they had to eliminate a lot of Trump voters.

lol Fred Karger

--Fox News wants there to be more candidates in the debate...so they release a poll with everyone having at least 1%.
