Iowa Caucuses, high of 32*F temps

32 in January is pretty warm for Iowa... that's almost warm enough to wear shorts in the winter when you're used to colder temps. Even -4 wouldn't slow most Iowans down, depending on the wind chill. For these temps to have any effect, there needs to be a snow storm.

Honestly, bad weather would just give the media and the rest of the candidates an excuse for why Paul does well in Iowa, assuming he does.

"He doesn't actually have as much support as the other candidates. They're just a more fanatical base."

How ironic. When sports people say that, it's a compliment.

We should start waving signs saying "If you don't know where Ron Paul stands, you probably shouldn't be voting"

:D

Wwoooooohooooooooooo

Ill Freeze My Ass Off Outside Naked For 24 Hours To Vote For Dr. Paul!!! I Bet Romney's Folks Wont Want To Get Off The Bus!!!!

Wooooo Hhoooooo

Ron Paul Ron Paul Ron Paul!!

Stay at home, establishment's voters. Your candidate is not worth freezing over. ;)

Set the campaign on fire, iowans! :D

Is that about normal weather....I mean for the caucus? Wonder what the history of temps has been....verses turnout? Anyhow...I hope it gets worse there...it can only help us I would think:D

Don't know Iowa, so don't know what's normal, but I do know that the caucus/primary season usually starts in spring. They moved up a whole lot this year. So regardless, it is *not* normal for Iowa to caucus in this weather. :)

Yes. And? That's like saying "c'mon guys, we shouldn't hope for a series of bad-weather primaries to result in Ron Paul winning the nomination. People might try to down-play it." :p

Dear Lord,
On Caucus Day, please dump a shitload of snow on all the non-Ron-Paul-loving Iowan voters.
If you do this for me Lord, I swear I'll stop looking at those bad, dirty websites between Ronpaulforum postings. Thank you, God. Happy New Year.
Love,
Rosypalm

Better to pray for them to see the light and vote for Dr. Paul.

I live in Wisconsin, and 32 degrees is like a summer day around these parts, at this time of year. We had a high of 29 degrees and I had to turn off the heat because the car was roasting. It's 19 degrees now at night...perfect walking temperature.

I hope its too cold for mitts buses to bring people in.... snow 5 feet deep on the roads

honestly if the weather was really bad and they saw RP winning they prolly would delay the event...i wouldnt doubt it lol

ya sorry, 20+ degrees is pretty warm

0-10 would be normal cold and still not really stop anyone who's already been out in the day

a big snow fall & uncleared roads, or strong blowing winds/blizzard white out conditions or a freezing rain are about the only 'stay home' weather conditions

Well...I'm in Georgia and 32 degrees as a high mean schools close and people freak out....I consider a 32 high here... freezing my arse off for sure. :D

A five day forecast is subject to change, especially if a snow is coming in. A better gauge of the actual temp for 1/3 will come on Tuesday or Wednesday.

I don't see -4 degrees anywhere. Look at weather.com it says high of 34 low of 23. That isnt bad at all. Please tell me where you got your information. Look here: http://www.weather.com/outlook/travel/vacationplanner/tenday/USIA0231?from=36hr_topnav_vacation

You obviously did NOT read the thread post.

The other part that I neglected to specifically mention is this...

-4 degrees the night before/morning of the caucuses means that ANY humidity in the air will make for substantial snow fall and ice. That's 36 degrees BELOW freezing.

Must I be responsible for spelling out EVERY part of this?
