If we walk away from this 3% from 3rd place we will have done incredibly.

I mean seriously, 3% really isn't anything, that we basically tied for 3rd (kinda). Is more a victory then a defeat.

Push on NH will be ours!

Seriously. People need to start thinking long-term and not looking for magic bullets.

Iowa is a Christian Coalition stronghold that loves farm subsidies and fears terrarists. We didn't go in there with any better chances than Rudy did, and much worse chances that the Bible thumpers and drum beaters winning over us right now. Why do you think Ron didn't waste his money there?

PS: To the ones saying "well kill in NH!", LEARN THE LESSON HERE. We won't win NH either. We have to go against Romney in his backyard and McCain who has owned that state before. 3rd would be awesome, but it's no given.

The long fight here is not going to end in one state, and it's not even going to end if we lose them all. We have 10% of the vote nationwide, minimum. That is enough to go into a brokered convention and walk out the winner. If that's not the fight you're ready for, you don't have your eyes open.

It showed that Ron Paul has real support out there and is someone that can win. Fox can't ban him from the presidential forum now.

No, the MSM would want you to look at it from 1st 2nd 3rd etc.

Don't look at it that way. 5th is only meaningful when you see the context. That we went from a non entity to 3 freaking percent from 3rd place is pretty great.

It's close to a tie for third people. What number you come in means nothing. We'll have almost as much representation from this state as McCain and Thompson.

That won't be how it's reported. Want to be MSM only shows the top 4 tomorrow?

This was all about exposure, not votes. And it failed, miserably.

I'm seeing 10% right now at politico (granted with many districts either not reporting or fully tallied). That's pretty good. It's all about public expectations, and RP was supposed to have single digit support, if that. The ranking did not meet my expectations, but still not bad.

A truly disappointing night for Giuliani :).

Really it is great that we got like x3 giul support. If people say "Well look at how you did, in 5th in Iowa", we can easily point out how much better we did then Rudy.

They wont discount Rudy, and therefore if they are logical they cannot make any argument dismissing RP via the Iowan caucus's.

hmmm.... I am starting to agree with you, but I think we need a top 2 finish in NH...

IA by itself means little. We did better then the polls. Let's see what NH holds.

RP 08!

We are one of THREE GOP to win a county.

That is good news!

We also took 2nd in a couple counties.

That is good news!

The media is currently spinning this as a three-way tie for a heated battle for 3rd! This is good news!

5th place would be BAD if 3rd was at 18 percent and 4th at 15%...and us at 10%....but its NOT

We are THREE percent from 3rd, where 2nd place was NINE percent from 1st!
