Introduce yourself! Who, What, Where, Why!

I'm new here and supporting Ron Paul! :) Free-Ad!

Hi, My name is Tanah Collins and this is my first in this forum. I am a mother of 3 kiddos under 6 and married to another strong supporter of Ron Paul.
We live in Cedar Park Texas and drive 18 miles round trip to take my daughter to school.
I counted 49 cars without a political slogan or bumper sticker and 1/50 cars had Ron Paul bumpersticker...mine!

I did come across some: "Keep Austin weird" and one "What the f--k are you looking at!" bumper stickers....and then it made me mad about
how some people take a stand even for flaky stands. So, on my way home I stopped and bought some white shoe polish and wrote on both sides of the van:
"Just Consider Ron Paul".... and the other car: "SAVE The Constitution Vote Ron Paul!"
(I do have 3 Ron Paul bumper stickers on both of the cars).
I thought -it is cheap and expensive and it brings NAME AWARENESS!!
People will become aware of his name....If everybody in the meet-up group would do this or write "Google RON PAUL" it would be so awesome to see all those signs in Austin, here in , New York, New Iowa, etc....
I am not a computer whiz-and car hardly use my digital camera but if you guys can include "free ads for Ron Paul" somehow and email to everyone in meetup groups etc...It is sooooooooooooooo cheap and can reach so many people!

We can't afford not to do it since the mediaq is not including Ron Paul supporterson the polls!!
We must be heard!!! Today!
You could you send an email to everyone you know supports ron Paul to join us!
I would love to see this in the news.....!!!
Pass it to other friend/supporters if they have others in other states like Iowa and NH!!

I mentioned this to someone and they said well maybe you should send this plan idea to someone on the teaparty or the ones with the "bomb idea for Dec 16th"...
I just saw a post /comment in an article that have never heard of Ron Paul until yesterday and "couldn't believe he stands for all I believe too"!!! he went to his website and said he donated $120!! he has never contributed to a political party.

We can't wait until Dec 15th-we must start today!!!
Especially with the fact that Ron Paul is being left out of polls so he won't make the 5%
we know that's a lie!!
Please put something on youtube!
I wish I could am totally a novice to computers high tech stuff....I know how to cut and paste and turn computer on/off!! :)
You guys can blog or pass it on!!
How many people could we reach?
I know there's a lot of you guys that can come up with a number! We maxed out on Nov 5th and are financially recharging for Nov 16th. In the meantime we all could do this for $1.50 for white shoe polish in the car windows: "Google Ron Paul"; "Restore the Constitution"; Save the Constitution", "Keep your rights: Ron Paul", etc.
Come on Everyone-Let's Use our creative side for Ron Paul for pennies a day!!!

Thanks!!
Go Ron Paul Go!!! The only hope for America!!!
TanahC :)

Hello fellow Pauliticians...My name is Erik and I'm a freshman college student at Colorado State University. I have been a Paul supporter since i was introduced to him in early May of this year. I feel that I don't agree with him on every issue, maybe 90%, but that is 90% more agreement than I have with any other candidate.

As you may notice from my user name, I am an avid disc golfer. I also enjoy precious metals...That's about it for now

Howdy!

I've been involved with the Marietta, Ga Meetup group for a few months now. I have always "done my civic duty" and voted- almost every time for the "lesser of 2 evils", not because I wanted to vote FOR that person, but because that particular election was JUST TOO IMPORTANT to throw my vote away by voting my conscience. I realized this year that EVERY election is "too important" to "throw my vote away"; and that I'd never be able to really make a difference if I didn't take a step of faith. Ron Paul came along just in time.
I have never been this excited about the political process!

My name is Jonathan....I am almost 24 years old....I am originally from the Great State of South Carolina, but I am currently doing Christian Missionary work on the main island of Luzon in the Republic of the Philippines. I have been raised a Independent Baptist, and have family ties (in other words my family has always supported Republicans) to the Republican Party. But considering the state of the Grand Ole Party of today, I am a reformed Republican who now calls himself a Conservative Libertarian or Paleo-Conservative.

I discovered Ron Paul upon watching the first debate in my home state in the city of Columbia. Ron Paul said some pointed things that plucked at my indecision over Iraq. I investigated further, and since I have become more and more of a Ron Paul supporter by the day, I have had doubts occasionally about my support for Ron Paul, but in the end in listening to Ron Paul my doubts are swept away and my support for Ron Paul bolstered.

I hope to see Ron Paul's Presidential inauguration in January 2009 either on television or God willing in person.

God Bless Ron Paul, and God bless America.

Hello From Lewisville, Texas!

Greetings everyone:

I am Billy W. Mitchell and I'm a poet and writer. I have a collection of poetry, which was published by PublishAmerica, LLC in November 2005, entitled "Schisms of Reality." I am currently working on a second collection of poetry, 2 novels, and a teen fiction series....so I'm a busy camper, lol!

I still find time, however, to follow my favorite for the 2008 elections, Dr. Ron Paul. I believe in everything that he stands for and, through researching his past record in politics, believe that he is one of the rare few HONEST politicians. Normally I would define politics as 'poli' meaning many and 'tics' being those blood-sucking parasites found on dogs, lol!

In closing, I will leave you with a poem that I have written about this country's current political state:

Our Goliath, But Where Is David?

As I walk outside, I cry
My country tis of thee I pray
My eyes deceive me because
Life, liberty – pursuit of happiness
Are gone to zombie-glazed gazes
In the eyes of my fellow countrymen

The possessions I own – not mine
Forfeit to immanent domain
My voice censored – words blackened
Incarcerated by the digital Brother
Watched by machines from ellipses high
The highways in vacuum
So close to the Moon
Were we ever there?

Digital fingerprints under our skin
Reduce us to blips on GPS screens
From sea to shining sea
We can be followed, singled out

Forefathers who fought
For rights deemed unalienable
Would repeat that history
Against our Goliath risen
Elected by faithless sheep
Grazing on plentiful pharmaceuticals
And drinking from still, stagnant waters
Generously polluted and fatally toxic

Industry’s standards and banker’s rule
Dictate laws – persecute the impoverished majority
Issuing National ID Cards like Nazis
Building toward their New World Order
The One bloody World Nation

Inciting hatred and ‘righteous’ anger
With doctored winged videos
Lies, subterfuge, and slight of mind
To gain support for needless, pointless wars

Where is our David to slay
This Goliath risen up in our land?
O’ Divine send us truth
Like the effigy of the burning bush of old
Give to us our David
Like Arthur with his righteous sword
Send to us a mighty hero
So America may once again
Be the Land of the Free
Not the home of the depraved

It's great to be here supporting the best man for the job!!!

hello I am from California.

I found out about Ron Paul through Alex Jones.

I know he is the man to return freedom back to our country!!

And he must win!!

Hello, my name is Charles Wilson, I live in Clermont Florida. I am semi-retired. I retired from the US Air Force after 22 years of service and I am now a gentleman farmer (I spend more money farming than I earn -- but I'm loving it!).

I joined this forum for several reasons. I fully support Ron Paul and what he stands for -- he is a God send -- and I want to help him get elected. I like participating on a forum with other like-minded folks that have a similar goal where we can share ideas and make a difference -- birds of a feather flock together. I have defended Ron Paul on the issues on other blogs. There are many folks posting disinformation on the various blogs out of ignorance simply because they are too lazy to do the research and learn the facts. Also, I have a few thoughts that I would like to share with others as to why we need someone like Ron Paul as President of this country.

I will post my thoughts in detail on another thread. Having said that, one of the major problems I see reflected in the over-all views of the uninformed voter is the fact that they have been brainwashed -- through public education -- into believing that the over-all power of the Federal government under the Constitution is unlimited. In-other-words, their belief system has been shaped/influenced by outright propaganda. Also, they don't seem to realize that the Federal government is the problem and not the solution; the Federal government is running amuck and jeopardizing our freedom and prosperity in the process.

The power of the people has been usurped by the Elite power brokers. I intend to expose the Elite power brokers and how they control virtually every aspect of our lives through manipulation of their neoconservative pawns in the Federal government. My hope is that Ron Paul, when elected, will have the where-with-all to restore the power to the people -- the rightful owners of this country.

Hello, my name is Dan Hall. I served in the USMC from 1978 to 1985, six years active duty. During my military service I was an Air Traffic Controller (MCAS Cherry Point NC), Artillery Radio Chief (HQ Battery, 5th Battalion, 10th Marine Regiment, 2nd Marine Division at Camp LeJeune NC), Radio Communications Instructor (MCAGCC MCCES FROC ROTS 29 Palms CA).

I was in the Marine Corps when President Reagan sent the Marines over to Marine Barracks Beirut Lebanon. I'm all for Ron Paul and his emphasis on bringing our troops home, dismantling our unmanagable empire, and stopping the billions and billions of wasted U.S. Dollars this government is spending, prefering to use the money right here at home instead of all the other places around the world.

Since 1988 I've been working for (what is now) Verizon, first as a Switchman at 240 E. 38th Street, Manhattan NYC NY, then as a programmer for Network Monitoring & Analysis at 140 West Steet, Manhattan NYC NY, and now as an Outside Plant Inspector here on Staten Island NYC NY where I live as well.

I'm looking to find a MeetUp group for Ron Paul here on Staten Island and get involved.

Currently I am also pursuing an online, home-based business as an Affiliate of Global Domains International. I feel Affiliate Marketing is a wonderful way to allow people of modest means to organize and prosper even while Rallying together for a Great Cause.

I've only just gotten here so I'm unfamiliar with the wide range of topics listed. I'll be looking for LOCAL contacts as well as MILITARY contacts and doing all I can to see Ron Paul elected President.

I'm happy to report that I just received in the mail my registration as a REPUBLICAN so it looks like I will be able to vote in the Primaries for Ron Paul after all. I thought I had missed that opportunity because I was registered as a Democrat and actually did miss the date to register as a Republican, but now I have that registration and the Primaries haven't occured yet here in NY, right??? I'll check on that. OK it's Feb 5, 2008. Good. I'm definitely voting for Ron Paul in the NY State Presidential Primary Elections.

A good afternoon to my fellow Dr. Paul supporters

Hey everyone... can't believe that it's taken me so long to find out about this forum...

My name is Tom and I'm from Dayton Ohio... I first found out about Ron Paul around my birthday this past July while researching into Income tax and where our money goes to after the government stick it greedy hand in our pocket... When I started looking into Ron Paul, the more I read the more I knew that this is the first time since I've been legal to vote that I might have a candidate that isn't the "lesser of two evils". It's been amazing every one I meet and talk to I ask them who their voting for and I talk to them about Dr. Paul and while some are convinced that he doesn't have a snowballs chance in a warm place of becoming our next president, the other options are sub-par when compared to Paul. So far I think I've got most of my family and friends to vote for him. And after I've got a few weeks at my new job under my belt I'll be available to help out my local MeetUp group.

Anyways i'm Tom feel free to say Hi or something....

Our introduction

Hello fellow Ron Paul supporters,
I am a 46 year old software engineer living with my Wife and 5 great dogs in the hills of North-Western Virginia. I proudly served 14 years as an electronics technician/software engineer in the U.S. Coast Guard. I currently work as an independent software engineering consultant. My 22 year old son currently serves in the U.S. Air Force and is also an avid Ron Paul Supporter, as is my 20 year old Daughter who is in her third year at the University of Virginia. My whole family is on board with Ron Paul. We are all register republicans and have consistently supported small-government candidates in all the past election we have been eligible to vote in. We believe that no vote is a wasted vote if it is for the candidate that most closely matches our own small-government, non-interventionist, and low-tax, live and let live, philosophies. Thus we have cast many so-called wasted votes in the past. Ron Paul represents much that we stand for as true Patriotic Americans. Win or Lose we will be proud to cast our lots with Ron Paul and all his ‘crazy’ supporters.
Ron Paul 2008 and beyond, the revolution has begun and our weapon of choice is our vote!

Hi everyone! My name is Richard, 35 years old and from the Netherlands. Yes, I am not an American. But I've been reading these forums for weeks now and wanted to sign up so I could leave a comment here and there. Hope that’s okay. :) I am a big fan of Ron Paul and his ideas. I learned about Ron Paul half a year ago. Ever since I've been following him and watched the movement grow with excitement. Its all about the message, but the way its been delivered by Ron Paul and his supporters is often really inspiring and truly moving. The slogan "Hope for America" is well chosen because I believe it's just that. Though I am not an American, and sadly don’t get to vote for doctor Paul, it is very significant for me and us here in Europe who will be your next president. I also believe these are critical times and the stakes are high. If I say that most of the so-called top tier candidates are CFR you all know what I'm getting at. In the comments of one of those magnificent Ron Paul video's on youtube, my god some are utterly brilliant, I wrote. "The whole world will be celebrating the day Ron Paul takes the Oath of Office". Believe it!

Hi All, My name is Dustin, just turned 30 the other day. Excited about Ron Paul and the future of our country. From Charleston SC and working hard to get the message out!

I'm from Iowa (Name, Age and Location I will not give out due to the fact that I am going to try to be a delegate and here they are elected and Unbound)

Ron Paul has been my hero since I was probably 13, due to his stance on the Constitution.

Hello forums, my name is Andrew. I'm from a small town south of Atlanta, GA, deep in Fox News country. Quiet town with relaxed, friendly people, where everyone knows everyone else, but the area is quickly suburbanizing. Right now I'm off at college in New Orleans.

I've never liked politics and always tried to avoid political discussions in the past, since it always seemed to bring out people's irrational, over-emotional side. But over the last year or two I've learned a lot about it, especially after finding out about Ron Paul in the first two debates. The first debate (Reagan Library) put him on my short list, to "keep an eye on him", and the second debate (May 15th) pretty much solidified it for me. In high school, we were all bummed out by politics. Being teenagers in a conservative environment, we overall just felt that politics was a dirty business and we had lost all faith in the government. Most people I know say "NONE of the candidates seem to really stick out," and that disapproval of the way things are going feels like the general mood. (I will introduce them to Paul. I've got a plan.) I think a lot of them would really like Ron Paul's message once they find out.

This campaign has made me read up on my history quite a bit, which is great because I love history. I've never found U.S. History interesting, though, until recently. Luckily, back in high school I had a great Civics teacher who made us spend basically the whole year dissecting the Constitution and Bill of Rights, though we took that class in 9th grade so it all went in one ear and out the other for me. I also had an Economics teacher who taught us from a pretty libertarian viewpoint. At the time I completely overlooked it, but the first day she talked about scarcity and gold and fiat and the Federal Reserve, etc. I've always hated economics though, so again a lot of it was lost on me. Recently, I've bought The Federalist Papers as well as Democracy in America, and I aim to look through them over the holidays.

What was really surprising and refreshing was hearing Ron say things that I've been thinking were common sense for a while, but no one ever seemed to even bring them up. When my economics teacher told us that money is worth only as much as everyone agrees it's worth, I was pretty surprised. I thought money stood for something, like an IOU, and the idea of the "just trust me" system of value seemed stupid. I said it that day, as soon as she told us, I said, "That's stupid. That makes no sense at all." Also, the fact that we had fought in several big wars since WWII but had never declared war really bothered me. It seemed dishonest at a very basic level, similar to lying by "not telling the truth" and technically not really lying. Plus, the declaration of war must exist for a reason, so why are we avoiding it? It didn't quite add up...

Anyway, that's long enough so I guess I'll wrap things up. My big issues are education, general foreign policy (not just Iraq), all those "national sovereignty" issues, and the 2nd and 10th Amendments. I love these discussion boards, they're a lot of fun to read. See you around!

Mike Costello

33 year old Pflugerville (Austin) Texas Software Engineer, really a Configuration Management guy. I've known of Ron after having been a libertarian voter over the years. I decided to throw my support behind him, because he's the only honest guy in the race that matches my ideology (or nearly all of it) and It'd be great to have someone in office who is a constitutional scholar.

Hello

My name is Heather from VA. I first heard about Ron Paul from an Athiest Homeschooling message board. I homeschool my two children and have never involved myself with politics until this year. In fact, I never bothered to register to vote until this year. Now I'm a card carrying libertarian :).

Hello,

I'm new around here. I thought I'd introduce myself.
I am a Ron Paul supporter of course, been a fan of his for many years. I am also the Vice-Chairman of the Constitution Party of Missouri and I host a weekly podcast, The Constitutional Missourian. Look forward to meeting everyone and getting some more ideas on how to effectivly promote Constitutional issues.

Hi, Charles and all

It's so much fun reading all your intro's. Charles (my neighbor in time on this website), you're right on. It's time for the people to take back their country. (I count myself as one, and I know there are many others ready.)

As for me, I've been a Ron Paul fan of sorts since he ran for president in 1988 as a Libertarian (though I like/admire him much more now!). I have always appreciated his presence in Congress, even if he weren't my geographical representative.

So I was very interested when I heard he was running for president. It doesn't matter what party you run in, as far as I'm concerned. I will register in any of them, so long as there's a candidate who is truly leading in a direction I want to go.

And since I have found time to explore some of the youtube and lewrockwell.com material about the campaign, I have just come to think the world of Ron and Carol Paul. You don't get more genuine or more straight-spoken. And the groundswell of popular, everyday-people sorts, is inspiring to behold.

On a local level, my husband and I have helped design an ad for our local newspaper, and gathered the funds to place it. He has also been busy with others putting up Ron Paul signs in northwest Iowa. We will continue to support Ron Paul's effort wherever we go.

Thank you, Ron and Carol, and all you fellow supporters out there.

Sylvia
