Introduce yourself! Who, What, Where, Why!

Hi Everyone! My name is Sharon and I live in San Diego, Ca. I voted for Bush twice and have not been able to get over what has happened to our country under his watch. Most of my family is crippled by loyalty to the Republican party and a belief that Fox News Channel political opinion is all they need to know about politics. They know nothing about Ron Paul, but think he is somewhat of a crackpot from the coverage they have seen of him. I have also heard the opinion that Ron Paul is a spoiler for the Democrats and that he will split the Republican vote assuring the election of Hillary Clinton.

As of yet, I am have not decided who I will vote for in 2008. I like Ron Paul and wish with all my heart that he can be elected. He represents all I hope for for this country.

Nice to be here; I hope to learn as much as I can about Ron Paul. And, I will donate on November 11th!

Evening all. My name is Tom Adams from Hauppauge, New York. Registered as an Independent in 1998 when i became of the age to vote. Last month before my states deadline i changed my party affiliation to Republican to vote in the primary. I struggled for about two months on whether to change parties.

Before the end of the third quarter i donated one hundred dollars towards his campaign. Another hundred in the middle of October and two hundred yesterday. I plan on (at minimum) doubling my last donation next month on the 16th.

Currently have a homemade Ron Paul sign on my Dodge Dakota. Even my families co-workers are involved with his meetup groups. So it has sparked political discussions into this wood structure.

Next its getting lawn signs. Really want a Ron Paul Flag to fly on a makeshift flagstaff off my trucks hitch.

From Vancouver Island, I'm a strong proponent of less power in Ottawa and more power to the people, particularly at the local or community level - most Canadian provinces are large enough to contain several small countries, so our provincial governments tend also to wield too much pwoer.

Been watching the RP grassroots phenomenon for a couple of months and been heartened by it. Some of the videos, such as A New Hope, have brought tears to my eyes.

Can't do much at this end to help the cause, but did forward info and a link to A New Hope to a friend who in turn forwarded it to her American friends living in Canada. :)

Hello everyone,

I'm Jena from the sunny state of Florida! 45 Year old mother of three teenage sons, married, Account Manager for large corporate travel company. I will admit to voting for Bush in 2004 but have since grown to hate the man and all that he stands for. I was lured in by the "it's for our own safety" rhetoric - but no more.

I desperately want Ron Paul to win the republican nomination and then win the white house! :D

Hello all . . .
My name is Keith, I'm 33 years old from Templeton, MA . . . been following Dr. paul for about 6 months now and spreading the word to my family and friends . . .
LET FREEDOM RING!

Not a bad name....Keith. But I had it first!:D

Howdy! My name is Keith. 57 years old married to my first wife of 38 years. Two kids, 10 foster kids, 9.5 grandkids.

Live in Polson, Montana amongst as small pile of guns and knives....

Am the organizer for our local Meetup. We're having fun!

We're passing around petitions to put Ron Paul on the ballot. We need 500 by January 22nd, and so far we only have about 2,000. (We're trying to make a statement). We're also trying to get appointed as precinct persons before the Super Tuesday Caucus in Feb. '08. Oh yeah. I'm one of the plaintiffs on the suit to hand count paper ballots and throw out Diebold machines. I guess my state's Governor isn't too happy with me about now he's a Democrat.:p

My name is Tim and I live North of Kansas City, MO. I have long been a believer in voting for a good candidate, rather than voting for the one who could win OR for the lesser of evils. For this reason, this will be the first time I will ever vote. I am 34 years old, married, and have 4 kids. I am a real Republican, unlike all the people in politics using that title today. I am a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. I have to tell you, it is WONDERFUL to have a candidate who I can hold up to the ideals of our church, as far as government goes, and say way to go. Ron Paul is preaching the very definition of what Government should be, based on former Secretary of Agriculture and later church President Ezra Taft Benson taught in his 'Proper Role of Government' paper.

I will admit to being somewhat excited initially to see Mitt Romney running. However, I find I can not support him. So, I was initially looking at not voting again. Well, wonder of wonders, here is a candidate who believes in this nation and the Liberty our Founding Fathers wrote and demanded. So, I now spend my time trying to talk to my family and friends about this, without putting them down. I try to challenge them, without kicking them. And, I try to remember in all my dealings that we are to do unto others as we would have them do unto us. NOT do unto others as they have done unto us.

I am hoping to be able to pull some funds together and add to the fun in December. Now, if I can just convince my wife on Ron Paul. :)

Michael R of Wildomar California.

21 years old, 1 year supporter of Mr Paul! Soon to be married.

I shook Ron Pauls hand at the USC Rally =) I am also part of a group that is throwing a Ron Paul open house on Nov 10 in San Diego! I have also opened my little wallet and donated to the tune of $500! I am a proud supporter and contributor!

LIVE FREE OR DIE!
RON PAUL 2008!

Hello,

This is my first day here. I live in Pittsburgh, PA. I am a 29 year old, married (to a Philosophy grad student/groundskeeper), mother of 2 kids (4 and 6) and 6-year foster mother to my now 19 year old sister.
My husband and I homeschooled my sister for 5 years before she went to college and are now doing the same with our own kids. I am also Catholic, describe myself as a Libertarian, pro gun rights, anti-socialist babysitting, natural health proponent. I attended a small liberal arts college 5 minutes from Nashua, NH and read all of the federalist papers there. I have a great respect for what our founding fathers set out to do and what we Ron Paul supporters hope to continue.

George from Trenton, Ohio here. I'm 41, in sales, a total Apple Macintosh geek and although I'm currently registered as a Libertarian, I don't see how the LP can field a candidate that'll do what Dr. Paul's doing. He's got the Republicratic machine shaking.

Ron Paul = hope for the future

I'm Steve Christensen, a second grade school teacher from Roosevelt UT. I'm mormon and I'm voting for Ron Paul because is the best mormon running.

I'll expand that description by saying that he is the best muslim, jew, catholic, born again, republican, democrat, independent, libertarian, anarchist, soldier, businessman, or politician in the race. His message is for all citizens and respects all citizens (and even non-citizens) as individuals.

I'm supporting Ron Paul because only he is providing the truth and laying out a platform of individual liberty and responsibility. He is the ONLY candidate who can stand there with his hand on the bible and honestly say the words "I do solemnly swear (or affirm) that I will faithfully execute the Office of President of the United States, and will to the best of my Ability, preserve, protect and defend the Constitution of the United States."

Hi, Steve! He's a Protestant. And I am... not.

I favor the bible being omitted from the swearing in of politicians.

I know he's protestant. What I was trying to say is that he represents all citizens and is not exclusive. So, practically speaking he represents all Americans, and has the most diverse following.

Sorry for the confusion.

No problem. :)

I am Alex Merced

Hello,

The name is Alex Merced, I am a rabid ROn Paul supporter. I am organizing a fundraiser called, ThisNewYearsDay (read sig). I also am running as a Write-in candidate for the 2012 election since I'm too young. I plan on getting heavily involved in organizing fund raising and voter mobilization this year when I move to NYC.

Check my blog at ronpaulspace.com where I write stuff about the campaign along with others.

Hi everyone. :) My name is Lily, I'm from California (but have lived in many places). I've been interested in politics since the early 90's, and when Mr. Slick was in power, I had an anti-clinton website. So I've spoken out about corruption and the subversive globalists in power since the 90's... I'm really excited about Ron Paul running, because like many other people, I do think he is this country's last hope. I may not agree with him on every issue, but I love that he is honest and principled and goes by the constitution.

I'd like to do more... so, please let me know what I can do to help. I do some web design and I like video production (although I don't have a video camera right now or good editing software) Thanks!

Hi, Wildflower. :)

Hi, My name is Tanah Collins and this is my first in this forum. I am a mother of 3 kiddos under 6 and married to another strong supporter of Ron Paul.
We live in Cedar Park Texas and drive 18 miles round trip to take my daughter to school.
I counted 49 cars without a political slogan or bumper sticker and 1/50 cars had Ron Paul bumpersticker...mine!

I did come across some: "Keep Austin weird" and one "What the f--k are you looking at!" bumper stickers....and then it made me mad about
how some people take a stand even for flaky stands. So, on my way home I stopped and bought some white shoe polish and wrote on both sides of the van:
"Just Consider Ron Paul".... and the other car: "SAVE The Constitution Vote Ron Paul!"
(I do have 3 Ron Paul bumper stickers on both of the cars).
I thought -it is cheap and expensive and it brings NAME AWARENESS!!
People will become aware of his name....If everybody in the meet-up group would do this or write "Google RON PAUL" it would be so awesome to see all those signs in Austin, here in , New York, New Iowa, etc....
I am not a computer whiz-and car hardly use my digital camera but if you guys can include "free ads for Ron Paul" somehow and email to everyone in meetup groups etc...It is sooooooooooooooo cheap and can reach so many people!

We can't afford not to do it since the mediaq is not including Ron Paul supporterson the polls!!
We must be heard!!! Today!
You could you send an email to everyone you know supports ron Paul to join us!
I would love to see this in the news.....!!!
Pass it to other friend/supporters if they have others in other states like Iowa and NH!!

I mentioned this to someone and they said well maybe you should send this plan idea to someone on the teaparty or the ones with the "bomb idea for Dec 16th"...
I just saw a post /comment in an article that have never heard of Ron Paul until yesterday and "couldn't believe he stands for all I believe too"!!! he went to his website and said he donated $120!! he has never contributed to a political party.

We can't wait until Dec 15th-we must start today!!!
Especially with the fact that Ron Paul is being left out of polls so he won't make the 5%
we know that's a lie!!
Please put something on youtube!
I wish I could am totally a novice to computers high tech stuff....I know how to cut and paste and turn computer on/off!! :)
You guys can blog or pass it on!!
How many people could we reach?
I know there's a lot of you guys that can come up with a number! We maxed out on Nov 5th and are financially recharging for Nov 16th. In the meantime we all could do this for $1.50 for white shoe polish in the car windows: "Google Ron Paul"; "Restore the Constitution"; Save the Constitution", "Keep your rights: Ron Paul", etc.
Come on Everyone-Let's Use our creative side for Ron Paul for pennies a day!!!

Thanks!!
Go Ron Paul Go!!! The only hope for America!!!
TanahC :)
