Introduce yourself! Who, What, Where, Why!

My name is Chris... I live in Boise Idaho. Very new to libertarian way of life.

Retired Military, self employed Bail bonds retrieval agent (some call them bounty hunters)

live outside of town, staunch believer in the 2nd amendment and the constitution. non aggressive by nature, but hard to provoke.

Hobbies, restoring old cars, working with horses, hunting , fishing, anything outdoors, spoiling my grand kids, teaching mountain survival, and teaching gun and weapon useage (properly).

absolutely cannot stand what the present admin has done and is doing to our nation. Not a person that wants a revolution , but it may come whether i want it to or not.

do not know what else to say, but I hope to learn and get a better handle on things politically. I am often blunt to a fault. hope that is okay with all of you... and i got here by a nice lady that invited me here... thank you Jena..

so many forums are leaning way left and i got tired of fighting all the time... and continual knitpicking... there is often no logic or reason to many of those folks... but hey ... y'all are stuck with me.

Sound like you'll fit right in. :D

Thanks for joining the forum and I look forward to working with you in the revolution.

Hello eveyone...

Hello all...I am a father of 2 small children and I worry about their future and the future of my family all the time.

I woke up after 9-11 when the garbage the talking heads on TV were spewing was not adding up. Before that I was your model sheep.

I sport your typical well paying telecommunications management job with no pension, a useless MBA and sit each day and watch my co-workers get laid off left and right.

I grew up in Queens, NY and now live on Long Island.

I started down the libertarian path about 9 years ago but only began my "re-education" in earnest over the last 3 years or so.

I have lurked here, lew rockwell, Mises, and tons of other sites for years. I still consider myself a novice and I have tons of questions for this site especially when it comes to economics and sound money.

I hope to one day add value to some of these threads but for now I expect to add none and just ask obvious and ignorant questions and most likely try people's patience.

It is good to be here.

My passions: Brazilian Jiu Jitsu and Libertarianism

Well, hello, everyone! I think that as of 3-26-2010, I am the newest member of the forum. Oh, where to start...where to start?

We, first things first: I'm a 48 year old Baptist Christian male from Des Moines, IA, hence the screen name. From 1980 to 2007, I was Republican, but left in January of that year, due to me being fed up with George Bush's version of "Conservatism". I re-joined the GOP a year later so that I could caucus for Ron Paul, and left again later that year. I consider myself a Constitution Party member, but in theory only, as Iowa doesn't recognise the Constitution Party. I work PT for a marketing company that demos products in the Jordan Creek Wal Mart, and I single, and live alone.

Gee, not much of an into, I know, but it's late, and I need to get to bed!:o

Oh yeah...I forgot to mention. I am so glad that I found this place!!! You see, I am currently a member on another forum that is dominated by "Party First" and Neocon leaning Republicans. It used to be such a neat place, but if lately, if you support Ron Paul, you are made to feel not welcome, and the mods have become real jerks!

You are certainly welcome here! This is a very exciting moment. We have many candidates we think have a chance. Rand Paul, Peter Schiff, BJ Lawson, and others.

you are VERY welcome here, we are absolutely PRINCIPLE first rather than party at all -- I am a Republican candidate running for State House, but I have excoriated my own party for putting party above principle on several occasions. That may not win me but a few friends in the Party establishment, but it is very welcome here on RPF's. As you also are very welcome here!

LMAO -- I am a rifle expert, and will gladly trade lessons unarmed combat for rifle marksmanship. I can take the most basic novice to a pure rifle expert able to hit 10 of 10 at 500 yards on iron sights.

24 year old male.

It isn't authority as such that I want to challenge, but the abuse thereof. I believe we can choose how we are governed, not whether we are governed. As social animals, we flourish in society. Society requires order. Order requires authority. Secular authority is grounded in the consent of the governed body, not individuals.

I'm here to promote subsidiarity, the constitution, the right of secession, nullification, and a balanced budget. I'd like to see Education, Marriage, and Life issues sent to the states. Mostly I want in on the most interesting and important movement and discussions of our generation! I know a lot about Catholicism and a fair amount about philosophy. I don't like aggressive conversations but am genuinely interested in other people's beliefs. I've got pretty thick skin, but if you cross a line, I'll tell you to tend yer biscuits.

I am Trevor, a high school senior and soon to be sailor in the United States Navy Reserve, and a staunch Libertarian, and a staunch Ron Paul supporter.

I didn't used to be though...

When I was in middle school, I was a neo-con, praising everything Bush did and longing for a War in Iraq. I wasn't to be taken seriously in the least bit.
High school comes around and I decide to check out different political parties, and one clicked with me, the Constitution Party. Reading their platform made me realize how much our welfare-warfare state was just wrong. Though I still believed that things like marijuana and prostitution should remain illegal.

Then as I grew older, I realized how much conservatism infringed upon the rights of others to live as human beings. I started reading history, reading the constitution...

...and the works of Ron Paul.

Everything Ron Paul said in "The Revolution" was something I agreed with every ounce of strength in me, and even changed some of my views. Thus, I had made the transition from Neo-Con, to Paleocon, to Freedom-Loving-Ron-Paul-Supporting Libertarian.

So here I am. Hi!

Welcome! I'm a high school senior as well!

Yeah!

It kinda sucks being a Ron Paul supporter at school, especially where I live.

So many liberals.

I can handle neo-cons, but I can't stand liberals.

hello , I am a 51 year old Army Vet , I am a recovering Neocon who started seeing the light right after W. was re-elected . While attending the Republican Caucus in Westbrook Maine , (I was supporting Mitt) I was appalled at how the Republican committee were treating the Ron Paul supporters , after the caucus I went over and shook hands with a couple and said I thought Paul had some good points but I disapproved of his foreign policy , I also started posting at a few boards and reading and verifying and rereading , I am now aware of how poor our foreign policy is and how badly this country needs a person to set us straight, I hope we can make it .

Hi,

I came from the Green Party to the Libertarian Party, hence my username "GreenLP."

I've always identified myself as more left than right, more liberal than conservative. I've always been a civil libertarian and when I started working full-time in life and seeing how much taxes the govt has been stealing out of my pathetic paycheck, I've become more "fiscally conservative," so the LP became the party for me.

The main reason I left the Green Party is because they call for too much govt and what I have learned over the years is that humans tend to become dictatorial and/or corrupt real quick when they are given too much power over others. I still identify myself as "Green" in spirit.

I predominantly vote LP, or 3rd party if there is no LP candidate running. If no 3rd party candidate is running, I would vote Demo over Repub, but not like it really matters these days because both sides are corrupt and want to keep out 3rd parties and electronic voting is probably all rigged these days.

I agree with most the LP platform (I'd say above 90%), but do differ in a few things at this point which is partly why I joined here to discuss some of those issues.

Peace to everyone!
