It was never off the table...just being repackaged. The herd is easily duped with the right marketing.

I think they are going at it backwards.
If they want to tax sales on the internet, the state the seller is registered in is the one that should collect the taxes. If they are not taxing the sales, then they are taxing the purchase and the state the buyer is in would collect the tax.

In other words, it appears they are trying to start a new purchase tax where the state the purchaser lives gets a purchase tax.

Both Republican senators from my state support the Marketplace Fairness Act.
It's infuriating.

Why is Sen. Mike Enzi (R-WY) so concerned about improving the economies in DE, NH and OR and hurting the economies in the other states. Come on Enzi, get off your high horse. I get it, you love tax increases. I get it. You support your donors. But get over it man. How can you claim to be pro-business and sponsor this measure, designed to hurt the nation?

This is about as underhanded a move as big government aligned with business business could make! Enzi is ignoring the important intersection that Internet Neutrality and Oppose Internet Sales taxes have! Both are important to Keep the Internet Free, which is something that extremely important to support smaller business America and also reverse the shrinking middle class!

Big government aligned with giant retailers are pushing hard to pass this act! We need your help. Sign petitions & contact your Senators that, "We don't want the Internet Sales Tax!"
