Inside the GOP effort to draft an independent candidate to derail Trump

I think the media stock is dropping as well. Bill Kristol will never bail himself out of this one.

Thank God. Unfortunately, Fox decided to slam Trump, which will eventually increase its credibility. If only they had gotten behind him, they might have gone down the tubes with him.

But then, their credibility started the season so low that if they hadn't slammed him, he probably wouldn't be where he is now.

Fox is running itself right off the rails. If they can't stir up controversy with phony outrage, they make it up as they go along.

Fox went off the rails with yellowcake uranium. But they keep driving that train, rails or no.

And of course you can tell just by looking at someone.

The vast majority of career politicians cannot be trusted when speaking of limited government. Remember the Contract for America? So in addition to a celebrity being more electable it is more likely though not guaranteed that would run for a libertarian cause then a career politician.

You don't trust Vince Vaughn?

Ron Paul is a great guy but he was not electable. A libertarian celebrity is.

Ron Paul is a hell of a lot more electable than Mitt Romney. Always was. And here's the 2012 polls that prove it:

And there don't seem to be any libertarian celebrities. As for electable celebrities, if they don't care about representing We, the People, who cares how electable they are?

No member of the American populace ever got a damned thing for voting for the winner. But they've gotten serious dividends by electing people ho gave a damn about them--like Calvin Coolidge.

Well then politics in America is unfixable. If there are no celebrity libertarians willing to run and Ron Paul\Rand Paul couldn't win then there is no hope.

But the fact that the Red Meat Republicans refuse to nominate someone who can actually win the general election does not mean that Ron Paul cannot win the general election.

That's what I was trying to teach you by posting all those links to all those polls that you ignored.

See I think that Vincent Vaughn would get the Republican nomination and would win the general but like you said it doesn't matter if he doesn't care to represent.

I'm about to give in and just vote for the one who promises most cheese.

Then I'd be on the correct winning side with the yuuge winning majority and all
the other losers would be forced to lend me (or give me) all of their cheese, right?

Trump is anti shredded cheese so that rules him out.

Whatever this means:

The anticipation is too much! Who will it be?

Ben Sasse/Kelly Ayotte?
Condi Rice/Mitt Romney?
Tom Cotton/Liz Cheney?
Rubio/Palin?
