INDIANA RESULTS THREAD

There were no RP delegates in my county that grassroots knew of to tell you to vote for. I was just surprised there were no delegates, PERIOD, on ballot.

others who said they had voted as Dem before weren't allowed to vote for delegates, they got a different ballot. I wonder if that is improper? Because it is Ron it would hurt, every time.

When I went to the machine to vote, they asked which ballot, republican or democrat, did I want, I said republican. There were no other choices.

maskander, didn't they ask you this same question? If your county did not have more candidates for delegate than your county gets to vote for, they won't be on the ballot.

Yes they did, I'm in marion county

Everyone In Indiana !

If there were fewer delegates running in your county than what your county is allowed, then:

Contact your Republican County Chair and Volunteer to be a delegate, immediately

I think I'm going to throw up.

Remember P.T. Barnum's famous quote: "No one has ever gone broke underestimating the intelligence of the American public"

and H. L Mencken: (paraphrasing) "Democracy is the system in which the voters get what they asked for, good and hard".

My response to RonRules is that only recently have people begun to have an interest in the election. So those who became enamored of Santo and Grinch had a harder time letting go, while the Cain supporters just moved on to the next neocon.

Unfortunately, based on my PFH experiences, there is a vast number of seriously uninformed people out there. I'll bet there's a good chunk of the electorate that isn't even aware that Santorum and Gingrich have suspended their campaigns.

As much as it loathes me to ask but is there a live stream for the primary coverage I can bum?

why would you want to do that to yourself? The only thing we are looking at is directly elected delegates and I doubt the networks would even cover that.

True.

OR they were protesting.

They don't like Romney and won't vote for him. Many of the Mourdock supporters (and I looked all of them up that have facebook accounts) have "Americans United for Israel" and "Stop Islamization of America" logos listed on their facebook pages with Fox News as favorite television. So I think those people MIGHT put Ron Paul in the same category as Obama (too soft on Iran and not strong enough on Israel) and therefore dangerous.

My facebook research tells me that Mourdock voters think Romney is unlikeable, Romney and Obama are socialists and Ron Paul and Obama don't back Israel enough (therefore allowing Iran to be too dangerous) but SOME...TOO MANY...Mourdock voters held their noses and chose Romney as the lesser evil (hoping that not having the D after the name will mean LESS socialism with Romney).

Although I know for fact (because they told me) that SOME voted for Santorum and Gingerich because they couldn't bring themselves to support ANY of the above for the reasons I gave and protest voted...just like one of us "writing in Ron Paul".

My opinion only.

^I really like that comparison between people that keep voting for Santorum and Gingrich and RP's supporters writing in RP's name in the general.

Live results coming in now....

I'm a delegate, bitchez!!!

Oh, and that fuck of a senator Lugar is gone too. Murdock is slightly less evil, and time will tell how big a douche he turns out to be, but at least for now it's an improvement.

and how many people didn't choose the presumptive nominee?

eh, all in all, things could be worse!

Where are you seeing live results on delegate elections, and how do we know who might be Paul supporters?
