I was reading a thread earlier on the topic of assembling outside the CNN headquarters, and how a few of my fellow Ron Paul supporters shot the idea to rubbish. The fact is, we all realize MSM is a problem. They are propaganda machines. Those who buy into MSM think those who buy into non-MSM news stories are buying into the unreliable, baseless news; sad truth is, they're probably right on that point. Yes, I am a firm believer in laissez faire, but these corporations are brainwashing the masses, and are feeding us lies, rigged polls, and as far as I am concerned are flat-out undermining our intelligence and rigging the election, simply on the basis of the aforementioned. This is not something that should be ignored. Our ideals and freedoms are at stake.

Should we host a get together, picketing CNN with signs of 'RON PAUL,' labelling MSM 'ELECTION RIGGERS?' Hell yeah, we should. And while we're at it, Fox News, MSNBC, CBS, ABC, hell I don't even know if I can trust C-SPAN anymore. I'm not a conspiracist by any means, but this is just so science-damned blatant, I can't even bring to words how angry and insecure this whole ordeal makes me feel. We might get 3-hours coverage total over the next 2-3 weeks, but Christmas is right around the corner, perfect time to deter the topic entirely. And the only reason they'll even cover it AT ALL is so we don't take action.

It's time to get mad. I believe in peace and love, but we aren't a bunch of damned hippies. We're revolutionists, all of us, and we need to do more than we're doing. Collaborate some ideas here, genuine ideas, of how we can reclaim this country, because if the elections are rigged, we've accomplished nothing. Ron Paul is just the beginning, as I've heard so many say, so what do we do now?

I say we stand up for freedom.

"God forbid we should ever be twenty years without such a rebellion.
The people cannot be all, and always, well informed. The part which is
wrong will be discontented, in proportion to the importance of the facts
they misconceive. If they remain quiet under such misconceptions,
it is lethargy, the forerunner of death to the public liberty. ...
And what country can preserve its liberties, if it's rulers are not
warned from time to time, that this people preserve the spirit of
resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as
to the facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost
in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from
time to time, with the blood of patriots and tyrants.
It is its natural manure."
-Thomas Jefferson

That's all the ammunition they need to prove we're "kooks" to the enthralled masses.

Angry is good, but we need change that anger into calm dedication, we can think of something better than picketing with signs. Protests don't seem to do much for the dems, I don't see them helping our cause.

We have to distinguish between government and private enterprise. We can't vote CNN execs out of power, but we CAN come up with alternatives to the MSM. I cancelled my Dish last week. Did you? I think it's a bit hypocritical for those of us who bash the MSM continually to put $ in their pockets at the same time. Like Ron Paul says, if you don't want something, stop subsidizing it.

I never had a dish in the first place.

What you are implying is that by bringing to the attention of Americans we are being belittled and brainwashed by the powers that be, we are in the wrong? I think you should rethink your agenda, buddy. If what you just said is truly what you believe, you are implying that this isn't a Ron Paul Revolution, it's a Ron Paul Cult.

What will give them ammunition is this 'do nothing and bitch on forums' principle you're standing by.

Read that quote. Really read it, and think about it. MSM is successfully rigging the elections, if not directly, playing a huge role in the operation.

And cancelling your satellite is applaudable. I respect it absolutely.

I'm not a kook for having balls, nor am I a kook because they say I'm one. Stop calling it a revolution unless it IS a revolution.

And on a side note...

I was hoping for a collaboration of ideas, as I mentioned, not another shut-down of one that has already been mentioned.

P.S. Abolitionists were kooks, too.

Yes, we're all upset at the media, but the trend isn't likely to change until they're forced to change. So use your energies to win over new voters for Dr. Paul.

excuse moi........us damn hippies did a LOT of campaigning....revolting....protesting....speaking out....& getting arrested for our liberties.

......hippies......revolutionaries.......same word ...different decade! PERIOD! :)

we ARE one- bottom line!!!!!!! ;)

Is it time to get mad? A year ago I would say absolutely.

It would certainly be except for one thing. Ron Paul is running a successful campaign for the presidency. Put anger on hold and see what happens. This just might turn out very very well.

Without the justifiable anger needing to be unleashed.

I'm game if you can tell me how picketing outside CNN will change their programming and/or get RP elected.

We shall see. I think Ron Paul needs a few top three finishes in early states to claim that the campaign is successful. Certainly there are a lot of people pumped up about his campaign, but he hasn't exacly broken through to the masses yet.
