First off, let me declare that I personally do not know anyone in the MSM, so take this as second hand information and not necessarily fact.
However, I do have a friend that is well connected to some media personalities. He was asking around why they don't cover Ron Paul as much. Some said they did like covering him after Q3 and November 5th fundraiser reporting, because he was a true underdog story. The problem started whenever they mentioned Ron they would get flooded by thousands of supporters, ranging from thanking them to insulting them and threatening them. It has come to the point that they now dread mentioning Ron, because good or bad, they and/or their staff have to spend hours going through the tons of emails.
Chris Matthews used to go from saying "What about my man Ron Paul" on the air to now wincing on air when a guest brings up his name. Glen Bleck brought up his death threats on the air. Some of you will say its just a conspiracy against Ron. Others will say that they only listen to their polls and only cover those they feel will win and are news worthy. Well you may or may not be right, I don't know. But what I do know is that many major media personalities now just don't want to cover Ron because it is guaranteed to cost them endless hours of staff time to deal with the barrage of threats, thanks, and insults.
This is a free country and I'm not telling you what to do. However, I do suggest taking a few moments to think before sending out mass emails to the MSM as to whether or not this will help Ron out. In some cases, the mass emails helped. Now, most of them may be hurting him. Make your own decisions.
Peace and Happy Holidays,
Steve
