IMMEDIATE Action Item -- Kerry Bentivolio needs 1000 signatures to run in SPECIAL ELECTION

Cassis has raised $53,750 and loaned herself $200,000 as of June 30.

She had $235k cash on hand, which is serious money in this race.

Has anyone heard from Liberty PAC?
 
I'm retracting what I said about each party only having one nominee in the special election. However, there will be only one democrat and it would be foolish for the GOP to field more than one as it will cut their party's votes down and allow the dem to win especially since there'll be low turnout. Kerry will get the needed sigs and Nancy will likely drop out after she doesn't win the primary. If the GOP brought in someone else against Kerry in the special it will just be to get the persons name out to try again and challenge him in two years as has already been mentioned. Since it's the old district 11, I get to vote for him on the special election.:eek::cool:
 
I doubt the Democrats will even have a candidate for the special. Their main candidate for the new 11 said he won't focus on the special. Who else will spend the time and money to become a Congressman for two months with such little time to do so?
 
Also, if Kerry does get on the ballot for the special, this allows BIG TIME donors to donate twice the legal amount to him because he will be running in two separate elections.

All the dem needs to do is a minor GOTV op for the special and he could take it. Nancy competing against Kerry for the special will just split the vote and proves what a saboteur she is. I'm even more pumped to campaign for Kerry to flush this lady into retirement for good. Her small district in Northville as a state senator is nothing compared to this CD and nobody knows her from Adam. Kerry has long since had all the Tea Party support in the area plus prominent endorsements. The word on the street is that he picked up Rand's endorsement recently but they won't be using it until everyone calms down. Ron is also well aware of this race.

The September 5 special is just a primary. The Dems will have a primary and the Reps will have a primary so there won't be any vote splitting.
