this thread is loaded with trolls..
My family has told me they are voting for mccain because of palin as a vote against obama and I can't convince them otherwise![]()
Don't worry about it, many fall for this crap so don't beat yourself up over it. We just need to focus on getting a strong foothold in the voter base for the next election cycle.
I think voting for Chuck Baldwin will make the MOST sense. Why not get ALL of the church goers voting for a pastor? I think there is a large enough voter base to really bump chuck baldwin up.
Even if you are not 100% inline with chuck baldwin, he is 3rd party, his issue stances are FAR closer to ron pauls if not pretty much inline. The only thing that I don't care for myself is the "pastor factor" BUT I can't talk down on a person who lives their life by faith anymore than they should be able to look down on me for NOT living my life by faith.
If anything, we can get the church voter base more inline with the constitution and what better way then with a pastor himself. The huckster got a huge church bump and so can Chuck Baldwin if we act fast.
SO would voting for Chuck Baldwin be better than voting for Palin for those who think voting for Palin makes sense?
Don't you think Chuck Baldwin is closer and more inline with the constitution than palin, obama and mccain?
Would you not vote for a candidate that is INLINE with what we are fighting for simply because he doesn't have a chance to win?
If that is the case then you need to be at a horse race and not voting for a President. We are not betting on horses here but picking someone who is inline with our views. If you were a ron paul supporter and are now voting for obama or mccain just to make sure the other does not win then what is really driving your vote?

They see this as a vote for obama esp in texas since Baldwin is not even on the ballot.
I understand SOME states... not really can be talked about for the entire u.s. though. Is any other 3rd party on ballot in Texas that they CAN vote for?
Baldwin is a write in in Texas

What chance do nadar/barr????/and baldwin have?
Someone prove they have a chance in hell.
This is why everyone and their grandma wanted Ron to for run third party. I knew this "stuff" would happen.
If I vote, I will vote for PALIN / mccain.
You see, I live in Oklahoma. Third party candidates and write-ins aren't allowed here, so Ron Paul's third party candidate crusade is null and void in Oklahoma and I have no illusions that anyone but McCain will be selected here anyway.
It's not all bad. I like Sarah Palin and the more the media bullies up on her, the more pissed off I get. If nothing else, Palin will get my "fuck you pricks" vote. The beautiful thing is that it won't matter one way or the other.

I have been reading a few replies here and honestly, it makes me sick. What I am hearing is that people MUST vote for one candidate because the other one is going to destroy the country. One MUST vote for one of the two choices that we're forced to vote for. It is NOT the third parties that are going to ruin this election. It is those people that feel they HAVE to vote for the lesser of two evils, the choices we're forced to choose from.
Look at history people. Democrats get in office, they screw things up and then we vote Republican. Republicans get in office, they screw things up so we vote for Democrats. Democrats get back in office, then the Republicans, then the Democrats, etc, etc, etc..... See the pattern people? They are playing us and we are their puppets. There are no two parties. There is one party disguised as two. They give us the illusion we have a voice, but
do we really? Do we forget the lessons of yesterday that fast? Are we all that idiotic?!!!
they don't have a chance in hell because of people like you, who are voting for someone you know is evil so you don't throw away your vote... rediculous,

What did I say that isn't true? Nothing! McCain/Palin are better than the socialists Obama/Biden and you know it.

just assuming he wasn't due to this statement above...
