Sixth paragraph. Maybe this should have gone in the Twilight Zone thread.

Here's the excerpt -
-----------
During his 20-minute appearance on WHO (1040 AM), Perry also described himself as a combination of rivals Michele Bachmann and Ron Paul. The host had asked where Perry put himself on the continuum between a congresswoman he described as a deeply religious tea partier, and Texan Paul, whom the host described as someone who pushes "limited government," a strict constructionist view of the Constitution, a "real currency and honest money," and an end to the Federal Reserve's printing press.

"You've basically described who I am in combination of those," Perry said. Paulistas might find that surprising, given that they perceive Perry as an establishment Republican who's never made much noise for a return to the gold standard.

OMG, he really said it.

The man knows how to pander to the crowd, given the finishes in Iowa, he's just trying to be both "flavors of the month" if you will. The only problem is there is no trace of Paul in his platform and Ron Paul's record can/does/will speakl for itself. Kind of glad he mentioned Ron Paul, more than the media seems able to do.

actually he rips off Ron's platform all the time, NOW. He just has no record of practicing it.

I take this as a huge positive. It is admitting that Dr. Paul is somebody worth wanting to resemble.

Teo-cons have learned to pay lip-service to the Constitution. Perry will probably be a Mark Levin-style Constitutionalist.

The guy is going to get Trumped. And by that I mean, flash in the pants and off the radar trumped.

Ron will need to put the smackdown on this shill in the next debate.

Scary Perry has so much dirt on him it should be a relatively easy task. If it's not already done by us BEFORE the next debate.

I'm confused. So was Rick Perry channeling Ron Paul or Michelle Bachmann when he pushed for a Gardasil mandate?

Will his Bilderberg friends accept his push for the gold standard or understand that he is just pandering?
