Illegal Aliens Could Elect Hillary

I cannot for the life of me understand why libertarians would be ok with mass immigration from extremely socialist countries, especially when those very immigrants vote strongly against liberty.

As for this article, it means that the illegal population in states like California and Florida, if won by Democrats, help swing extra electoral votes toward them. Illegals are undercounted by the census however. And there is also the fraud concern.

You mean the illegal immigrant exodus?

Hmmmm; and here I thought that one of the hallmarks of libertarianism was to consider people as individuals rather than as automatons within collectives.
Only partially and not firmly. But it ends up being a myopia of libertarianism to not see the forest for the trees. It is a fact that 5 out of 6 Hispanics are opposed to liberty. There is fairly strong evidence that this is genetic, or influenced by genetics.

You mean the illegal immigrant exodus?
Communist government statistics and pro-immigration thinktanks are not valid sources. There was a study done by a finance group that found 30-50 million is a more accurate range than muh 11 million, which is patently absurd. Altho, ironically, that exodus theory proves that we can in fact induce them to self-deport.

But if they settle in a traditionally Democrat state, like California, and are counted in a census then they add to the electoral votes allocated to that traditionally Democrat state. Of course it also works for traditionally Republican states, like Texas. Still, it only representa a couples of electoral votes overall.

Next census is in 2020. Any reaportionment of seats will occur after that so if that helps Clinton that means she would have to be running in 2024.

I doubt that they will vote for Hillary at this point, Bernie is offering instant citizenship for all illegals and free public college.

Well, when I talk to or see Hillary supporters, they are white American citizens. It's the white people in this country that love the chains of tyranny.

Bernie Sanders supporters even more so. Vermont, which is probably the whitest state in America and probably has few immigrants, elected an open socialist with two thirds of the vote.

Do you have "non- communist" statistics?

A person at Bear Sterns did not conduct any surveys of population. Nor did they look at any national figures. Instead he tried to count homes sold in New Jersey (New Brunswick, Elizabeth, and Newark) as well as students in schools in Wake County, North Carolina and New York City. He also tried to look at how much money people were sending to Mexico. It is impossible to extrapolate how many total illegal immigrants are in the entire United States from such limited data.

Don't have the link right now but Robert Justich (one of the co- authors of the Bear Sterns report) has agreed that the number is a lot smaller today. Original paper was written in 2005.

Found the link:

In 2005, Robert Justich, then a portfolio manager for Bear Stearns, co-authored a report suggesting the population of illegal immigrants “may be as high as 20 million people.” Jeffrey Passel, senior demographer for the Pew Hispanic Center, disputed that finding. For one thing, other data sources, such as U.S. birth rates and Mexico’s own census, don’t corroborate such a large number. If there were really so many more immigrants, than there would be more women of child-bearing age, and more births. And if instead the missing millions are mostly Mexican men working in the U.S. and sending money home, the flip side of that influx would be reflected as a gap in the Mexican census numbers.

“Definitely the number is not as high as 20 million,” said Manuel Orozco, senior associate of the Inter-American Dialogue, a Washington, D.C., policy-analysis group.

Justich, who now owns a music and film production firm, countered that immigrants from countries other than Mexico may make up the rest. However, he added that the number is no longer as high as 20 million.
