CNN Published a article offering advice for parents on what to do when children and toddlers say they might be non binary or transgender.

We had gone from MSM offering advice on what to do if your child say they are gay to now Trans Children.

Her child’s questioning didn’t stop there. It marked the beginning of a yearslong evolution not just for her daughter, who came out as nonbinary at age 8 and transgender at 10. It was also a journey for Howland and her husband as they navigated what it means to be trans, ways of affirming their daughter’s gender identity, their responsibilities as parents, and the grief associated with “letting go of one idea of what our life is going to be,” Howland said.

Yeah.... and you know, I don't parade around the fact that I have a nonverbal 15 year old daughter, but all I gotta say when I think about this is, what the actual fuck, people?
You WANT a kid that has problems and is higher maintenance and needs a ton of medical intervention???
Go adopt a special needs kid.
Oh, wait, I guess you're the exact same crowd that wants to screen and abort them. Too bad that's not even possible because there's like a fraction of money being spent on researching them as gets spent on your disfigurement surgeries and the screening would only pick up a fraction of them (and none of the ones caused by vaccine injury).

There's a lot of hay being made about how supportive they are but there's no way to look at this objectively and in totality that doesn't make them all fundamentally anti-child.

You can significantly alter a person's final height by simply feeding them differently in adolescence. They're never going to convince everyone that you can pump them full of hormones that their body isn't producing and it'll be reversible.

That argument goes both ways. The development that happens during puberty is irreversible and hormones obviously play a huge role in that. Hormone therapy during this period can be the difference between living as a man in a wig saying "I'm a MA'AM!" and perhaps being somewhat passable as a female.

If it was ever truly in a person's best interests to change gender (hint: it's not), then during puberty would be the best time to do it.

And this shit is why the "woman born in a man's body" shit is so odious. Besides being patently false, it leads to this stupid shit where parents permanently disfigure their kids because they genuinely think its what's best.

Why can't men just admit they are weird dudes who like to pretend to be women? There's nothing wrong with that, why isn't that enough? (rhetorical question; I know the answer)

That argument goes both ways.

Well... not the argument I was running with. The argument was whether or not it's reversible. It's objectively not.
Reversibility is something that gets discussed a lot and I'm pretty sure it goes on the stacks that the parents are weighing when trying to determine whether to go forward.
If they had people telling them factually that whatever they do to intervene medically is absolutely 100% no-questions NOT reversible, then some more of them might stop for a second and think, instead of just doing whatever the medical establishment that was specifically built to milk this phenomenon is telling them.

You're failing as a parent. You need to step up and knock some sense into that kid. Disconnect them from the internet. Educate them about the predatory world and how people will use their naivete as a weakness to get them to do stupid things. If you've got them in a government school - first, shame on you; second, get them out now!

Chances are you also need to get a hold of your wife and those influencing her. Give your kid love and attention so they don't end up like their mother.

This little notification from your child may turn out to be a blessing in disguise, if you handle it right.

My father died two months ago at a ripe old age of 85, after spending the last 6 years in a retirement community.
They moved in there because of all the medical stuff they advertised as available, but when he broke his hip in 2018 and had to stay in their medical wing, they ignored when we told them he wasn't all there and was going to try to get up, and they let him do it, and fall a couple times. No apology, no responsibility, just eh.

When his mobility was seriously reduced after breaking his hip the facility did absolutely nothing to assist - they wouldn't even provide receipts for services we paid for so we could file insurance claims. They'd type out what happened on what date and email them to us and we'd have to explain to these people - people who are running a business that claims to offer medical assistance to clients - that we can't forward a hand-typed email to an insurance company and let's review AGAIN the purpose of what we're asking for.

My 84 year old mother is still living in her $6500/month cottage but that includes a dinner that I have to admit is pretty good food. The coffee and ice cream are actually really quite good. And yeah, that's about it - they're getting charged at least double what it should cost for what they are getting, and this is after cashing out their house to even get in there - and they get good coffee and ice cream in return.

My wife's father just cashed out his bigger house and moved into a similar place despite us recounting every way my parents have been screwed by their place. He and his wife assured us it was going to be different because their place costs more. Then, before they moved into their brand new place, they went to view it and found the entire thing had been painted the medium-gray color that's popular for some inexplicable reason - and when they said they don't want it gray, their response was:
Well it's already been done, and if you want to change it feel free to hire someone.

They didn't ask - they just painted it depressing prison gray and said tough shit. So, they've set the tone. I get to watch them get rooked too for 5-10 years and ultimately still be the one dealing with their problems when the facility won't, too, and after the facility has completely drained all their resources and given them ice cream and coffee to sit down and STFU and left us with nothing to be able to deal with the serious problems when they come up.

This is a long way of saying, you know, the trans doctors have a well-established pattern they're following.

This is so sad to read.

Besides all of the other scams out there, this is a huge transfer of wealth out of the baby boom generation directly to the usual suspects.

Other than the facility manager, what is the average wage of the worker bees at that facility, do you suppose? This model extracts every little bit of wealth out of a family and transfers it to the already wealthy.

My siblings and I were so fortunate that my mom was able to live at home until the last month of her life.
