Thursday on CNN’s “New Day,” critical race theorist Ibram X. Kendi, author and contributing writer for The Atlantic, wondered what would have happened in Columbus, OH if Ma’Khia Bryant had been a “16-year-old white girl in a wealthy suburban neighborhood. Bryant was shot and killed by police after she appeared to attack another person with a knife.

Kendi said he finds it “hard” to believe the officer who took action to stop Bryant from using the knife on others “would have used lethal force” on a rich, white girl.

“So when I look at that video, I ask myself, if that would have been a 16-year-old white girl in a wealthy suburban neighborhood, would the police officer have sought to disarm this girl? Would the police officer have sought to talk her down? Would the police officer … have used lethal force? And it’s hard for me to believe that that would have happened. It’s hard for me to believe that that officer would not have responded differently for a different girl in a different community.”

“ know many people feel as if they did not witness police work,” he added. “They witnessed someone being killed and even potentially murdered. And, of course, like with any other case, people are going to be outraged that someone did not come and de-escalate the situation, disarm that girl, so everyone could have gone home safely that evening.”

If you can watch that video and come to any conclusion other than that other girl or her dog would be dead had the officer not shot, you’re blind.

I most certainly comprehend someone having a different opinion.

What I cannot comprehend is someone that thinks this all just a fevered figment of imagination.

It's equivalent, in my mind, to a driver who so mindlessly follows their GPS directions as to drive right off a cliff. (which has happened many times)

Is it fear that causes that?

How do you feel about CBP?

The same way I feel about all cops.

They follow orders, period.

Right now, CBP's orders are to cut the wires, smash the walls, open the doors and let the unwholesome flood continue, unchecked and unabated.

Maybe next year somebody else will be in charge and those orders will change.

So.....cops wait 4 hours before engaging an active shooter in Uvalde but go in guns blazing for a little girl with her dad that didn't seem to be scared at all. Okay......

She's scared shitless, she just watched asshole dad kill her mother, she COMPLIES with the screaming cops all around...and they still gun her down.

Listen as it goes further...they can't figure out a landing spot for the cop copter and when they do try to guide him in they are calling him dude on the radio.

Maybe I'm just nit picking, but that is just un-fucking-professional.

I've had people medevacked off my vessel and if my crew was calling out distance and communicating with the helo pilot by calling him "dude" heads would have fucking rolled after the fact.
