If there is a single NEVEDA person posting now

Was considering changing my location to Nevada temporarily and posting "What do you mean the caucus is today?", but that would just be evil. :D

Hey I live in Nevada, been playing Guild Wars all day and eating cheetos. What? am I supposed to be doing something?

Darn, my location gives me away.:o

You would have been virtually tarred and feathered. :D

Hmm...you know if 20-30 people went and asked "what the heck...where is my caucus?" on a Mitt Romney or Huckaboo forum...I bet the Ron Paul campaign complaint would get a lot more media coverage!

I just got off the phone with my mum, she's a delegate at one of the precincts.

She said that it was full of Mitt Romney supporters and that they did the whole thing backwards. They ended up doing the straw poll before they voted for the delegates. So the precinct chair gave delegates based on the straw poll. But the straw poll is supposed to go after...

Anyways, Romney won, Ron Paul in second.

I just got back from the NV Caucus. In my precinct it went as follows:

1- McCain
2- Romney
3- Paul
4- Thompson

As far as the delegates go (I am one), 3 out of the 6 elected were Paul supporters.

Great to hear. :)

Report from my precinct in Summerlin, west Las Vegas.

Romney apparently had visited this very high school yesterday or early this morning. I hadn't noticed it though. Romney signs and stickers were everywhere.

Anyhoo. There were 75 caucusers in my Precinct, which has 16 delgate spots. The call went for nominees for delegate. Myself and 3 other RP people nominated ourselves. 12 Romney people nominated themselves for delegate. Since there were only 16 people vying for 16 spots, we dispensed with voting and all became delegates. There were some Huckabee and McCain supporters but none of them wanted to be delegate.

In the straw poll, it was 49 Romney 13 McCain 7 Paul and 3 or 4 for Huck and Thompson and 1 for Giuliani.

So I'd say that was good. We got 25% of the dels even though we were less than 10%.

And I actually gave the Ron Paul speech (prepared by the campaign) and afterwards one of the Romney supporters (a very cute one I must admit) came up to to tell me it was a really good speach :)

Anyway. No matter the results, we will continue the fight for Ron Paul and for liberty.

Good luck to our fellow sons and daughters of Liberty in South Carolina.

Lysander
