I vow to NEVER vote for Bob Barr. *Bump For Support*

My vote goes to Baldwin-I could never vote for Barr, I have always thought there was something strange about him, he has now shown his true colors and that he cannot be trusted.

I saw an interview where Bob apologized for doing so (i will look for link)... He had an epiphany which drastically changed his stance on many issues - hence why he left the republican party for the libertarians.

He said recently that he would not support the legalization of crack and other hard drugs.

Ugh, I think this could have axed the deal.

The saddest thing to come out of all of this is that Ron Paul will probably NOT accomplish .......what he was trying to do...which was to get the 60% of Americans that DON"T like the choice of Obama or McCain to vote for one of the 3rd Party candidates. He really didn't care which one you vote for and TRUE to standard Ron Paul style ......he ISN"T going to tell you who he thinks you should vote for of all of the
choices. I totally understand what he was trying to achieve...and
just have to believe that Barr acted like a real....excuse my language here....but he acted like a real prick.

Dr. Paul explained during his interview with Wolf Blitzer that he would not support Ralph Nader, and Nader was sitting right next to him.
Ralph did NOT act like a horse's rear end and lamblast Paul.....they both spoke quiet civily. Bob Barr would have done well to follow Nader's lead!

Nader got the idea, as did Cynthina McKinney and Baldwin....that this was about sending a message to the Dems & Rep....that we want to debate serious issues, and want the focus to be about getting our country back to obeying the constitution...etc. So....Barr the jerk....instead of helping to make this huge impact has attempted to "sabotage" what Ron Paul was trying to achieve........well as far as I am concerned....He SHOT HIMSELF IN THE FOOT!!!

Many of the folks that were thinking about throwing there vote to him.....will NOT do that now. Myself, I was going to do more research and try to decide who of the 3rd Party folks I would support.....well....it will NOT be Barr!

I don't know if I mentioned this earlier, but Bob Barr has lost my support (For obvious reasons). Ralph Nader has earned my support just as long as he doesn't pull a stunt like Bob's campaign did. Chuck Baldwin will be my Plan B candidate if Nader does decide to be foolish.
 
I was so excited to hear about the existence of a "Libertarian Party", something of which I did not know before learning about Ron Paul. I was so excited about voting with it had Ron Paul not won the nomination for the Republican Party. But from the first day Barr accepted the nomination, I felt like somehow I expected more from the person who would lead this party towards prosperity!

It has been confirmed. I will not vote for Bob Barr. Perhaps I will for the LP one day, just not this November. It seems like more than 2 parties have to be purged.

Hello TodaysEpistleReading,

I was a member of the LP for several years. Then a while back a flood of neocon lites arrived that wanted to reform the Libertarian Party. Their goal was to remove all the principles of the Libertarian Party to get more votes. They managed to gut the platform. They are the ones that are behind nominating Bob Barr.

This is sad. But at least this might help more people to join the revolution and avoid being neocond.
 
I sure hope that the party gets back to it's roots and nominates somebody with a better record than Barr. This whole idea of bringing the Libertarian Party into the mainstream has taken the party so off track and alienated so many people.

Barr and Root have moved the Libertarian Party closer to the Republican Party. Someday, the two may be indistinguishable from eachother (That would be a very sad day indeed.).

I am not a Party Supporter and will only support individuals who have a consistent track record. I think that it is safe to say that we will not be seeing another Barr/Root type campaign any time in the near future.

What people need to realize is winning is not what really matters. What matters is standing up for the principles of freedom and liberty.

If you live in COLORADO and you want to send a POWERFUL MESSAGE to the COLP/NLP, then please post here or im me in rpforums.
I have talked to the head of the COLP and he told me that every email would be sent to the leaders in colorado and national(UNFILTERED), so if your frustrated with the lp and barr,then this is our way to be HEARD AND SPEAK UP .
